Dual Cameras Teased For The ASUS ZenFone 4

Dual camera smartphones are starting to become pretty commonplace these days. Depending on the goal of the manufacturer, these dual cameras can help users capture sharper, more dynamic images, or in some instances create a bokeh-like effect that mimics photos taken on DSLRs.

That being said it looks like ASUS could be adding dual cameras to its upcoming ASUS ZenFone 4 smartphone. This is according to teaser images shared by the company on its social media platforms, which as you can see in the image above leaves little to the imagination as to what they might be trying to tell us.

According to the caption, it reads, “Time to be more than ONE,” followed by two rings which are presumably the camera lenses. We’re not sure how ASUS plans on implementing the dual cameras and what kind of features might be part of it that helps them stand out from the competition, or if they’re simply doing a “me too” and just adding them because everyone else is.

Either way we suppose we’ll just have to wait and see when the time comes for the phone to be made official, so check back with us in the near future for the official details, which shouldn’t be long given the teasers.

YouTubers Can Now Block Spam Comments Automatically

While the comments section for websites is immensely helpful for people look for feedback or to generate discussion, more often than not these days the comments section is filled with trolls, harassers, and spammers who are usually bots that post links to malicious websites for personal gain.

Most platforms usually have a filtering system in place to help weed out such comments, and YouTube is stepping up their efforts in helping creators block such comments. The company has recently introduced a new feature which will help creators block spam comments that contain links. This means that whenever a comment is posted that contains a link, it will be sent to the user’s “Held for Review” section.

This means that the creator will have to manually approve these comments before they can appear in public. Depending on the popularity of your video/channel, the number of comments will naturally vary, but we guess it will help to keep certainly spammy links out of the general comments.

Note that this is an opt-in feature meaning that users will have to turn it on themselves, as opposed to it being enabled automatically. Details on how to enable it for your YouTube channel can be found on the YouTube Help Forum.

LG & Joseph Gordon-Levitt Team Up For LG V30 Marketing Campaign

While many of us might be familiar with Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s profession as an actor, he also does other work, such as running a production company called HitRecord. In fact the company has actually managed to land some pretty big name clients, such as LG in which they did marketing campaigns for the LG V10 and V20 in recent years.

Now it looks like Gordon-Levitt is back again and working with LG in presumably the marketing campaign for the upcoming LG V30. In the video above Gordon-Levitt talks about the campaign that he is envisioning and encouraging people to take part in, and while he doesn’t explicitly mention the LG V30, it’s hard to imagine what else it could be for.

LG has recently confirmed that they will be officially announcing the LG V30 on the 31st of August at IFA 2017, so like we said, it’s a pretty safe assumption that Gordon-Levitt’s involvement will probably be about the phone. So far what we know about the device is that it could be ditching the secondary ticker display.

It is also rumored to feature a similar display aspect ratio as the LG G6 launched earlier this year, and that it will most likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, as “confirmed” by benchmarks. In any case we should be finding out pretty soon so check back with us next month for the details.

Mozilla’s Firefox Focus Has Hit 1 Million Downloads On Android

Given how much data is being collected on us these days, it’s safe to say that privacy is considered to be a pretty big deal to many. This is why ad blockers are increasingly popular, as well as other apps and extensions meant to curb the amount of data that is being collected on us.

This has also led to the rise of developers such as Mozilla creating privacy-focused mobile browsers like with Firefox Focus that was launched last year. Now the Android version of the app was only launched last month but it seems that it has proven to be quite a hit as Mozilla has since reported that about a month later, the app has managed to hit 1 million downloads on Android alone.

In addition to the announcement, Mozilla is also announcing three new user-requested features for the app. This includes support for full-screen videos, support for downloads, and also updated notification actions. This changes appear to be only available for the Android version of the app, so Android users can head on over to the Google Play Store to get their hands on it. We’re not sure if there are plans to eventually do the same for iOS users, but if you just want a privacy-focused browser then you can check it out via the iTunes App Store.

Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition Will Be Getting Retail Release

As with most Blizzard games, gamers have the choice of purchasing the “regular” game, or a deluxe version of the game that usually comes bundled with several in-game goodies. In the case of Overwatch, Blizzard has a “Game of the Year Edition” which is basically Overwatch plus a bunch of in-game items, as well as other in-game items for other Blizzard games.

However so far the copy of the game has been digital-only, but for those who might prefer collecting physical copies of the game, you’ll be pleased to learn that Blizzard has since confirmed that they will be selling a physical version of “Game of the Year Edition”. Essentially nothing has changed in terms of content, it’s just that it is now available in physical form which is what some gamers prefer.

For those who are unfamiliar with what the Game of the Year Edition contains apart from the main Overwatch game, it will come with a set of Mercy’s Wings that players can use in Diablo 3. It will also give World of Warcraft players a Baby Winston pet, and it will also unlock Tracer in Heroes of the Storm for free.

There will also be StarCraft 2 in-game portraits, and a special Hearthstone card back. There will also be 10 additional loot boxes bundled that will give players a chance to unlock new skins and other Overwatch in-game items. The retail version of Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition is expected to be released on the 28th of July.
