Dead Rising Collection Spotted On Amazon

Dead Rising Collection Spotted On AmazonNow here is something interesting for all of you Dead Rising fans out there – apparently, Dead Rising Collection has already been spotted on Amazon, but there is one particular thing that users ought to take note of – Capcom has yet to confirm this particular title. So, it can be pretty tricky trying to put two and two together since one side says that it has yet to be confirmed, which begs the question as to why is the title spotted on a retailer like Amazon? To spice things up, even the product image is unavailable, which means that this would, in all probability, be some sort of leak.

Capcom Claims Next-Gen Games Take 8-10 Times Longer To Develop

Capcom Claims Next Gen Games Take 8 10 Times Longer To DevelopThe PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are the latest consoles available in the market at the moment and while there are several games available for either console at the moment, it is obvious due to their recent availability that there aren’t as many games compared to previous generation consoles, although we expect that more will be on its way. However if you realize that developers are taking longer than normal to push out these games, it’s not because they don’t want to develop for either console, but it’s because it might actually take longer for them to create games for the PS4 and Xbox One compared to their predecessors.

While we’re sure each developer has their own methods of developing games, over at Capcom they have admitted that due to the complexity of next-gen consoles that it might actually take 8-10 times longer to develop a game. Speaking to the Official Xbox Magazine, Capcom senior manager, Masaru Ijuin was quoted as saying, “It’s clear that heightened game quality leads to a rise in the number of man hours. The amount of work involved in making games for next-gen consoles is eight to ten times greater than what is required for the current generation of consoles.” Like we said each studio probably has their own system of developing games, but in case you were wondering why it’s taking a bit long for games to hit the market, here’s one of the reasons why.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Being Pulled From PSN, XBLA

Capcom has been very well known for their fighting games over recent years as they continue to work on its popular fighting franchises, such as Street Fighter 4. One of its other popular fighting game series, Marvel vs. Capcom, had a new title released just a few years back, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with digital versions released on their respective marketplaces. Mega Man Board Game: Bittersweet Offering

There’s a new Mega Man game! It’s a, uh, *cough* a board game. Wipe your tears, Blue Bomber faithful, board games can be a lot of fun! Plus Jasco Games’ officially licensed game will let you play not just as Rock, but as a Robot Master too! Yes! No? Oh come on. It’s all we have right now. Look at the bright side.

    mega man board game 620x339magnify

Because the game is still not done, its rules (pdf) are still being tweaked as well, but I think I get the basic premise of the game. You and up to 3 other players are all Mega Man. The goal is to be the first Mega Man to beat Dr. Wily. Standing in your way are challenges strewn about the board, as well as the Robot Masters. The kicker here is that the players also control one Robot Master each. When you reach the “Boss Battle” stage of the board, you (as Mega Man) will fight the Robot Master of the player to your left.

Hold B to charge your Mega Browser, then let go and pledge at least $60 (USD) on Kickstarter to get the Mega Man Board Game as a reward. Or we can all just play Rayman Legends. Damn Capcom, what the hell happened?

Capcom Has A New Fighting Game In The Works

Capcom Has A New Fighting Game In The WorksWhile Capcom has been the name behind many popular arcade games in the past, safe to say the company is well-known for titles such as Street Fighter. Well it looks like Capcom might have another arcade fighting game up its sleeves, according to Yoshinori Ono, the executive producer from the Street Fighter series. This is according to a tweet by Ono which reads, “I want… no, Capcom wants Game Designer and programer for New Fighting Game. Its location at Tokyo or Osaka Studio.” Ono also goes on to confirm that the studio is currently making preparations for the development of said game, but was unable to confirm if it would be a next-gen title, although given that the game is in its early stages and with next-gen consoles being released next month, it would be a safe bet.

It’s interesting that Ono has confirmed that a new fighting game is in the works, especially since a few months ago, he was reported as saying that at that point in time, they did not have the budget or the staff necessary to make Street Fighter V for next-gen consoles. Perhaps this new game could be Street Fighter V, or it could be a brand new IP, but whatever the case do not expect to see it anytime soon, but we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more info. In the meantime who else is hoping that this is Street Fighter V for next-gen consoles?

Capcom’s Deep Down For PS4 Shows Off First Gameplay Trailer

During Sony’s first PlayStation 4 event, which was held on a blistering cold day in New York City back in February, a number of upcoming titles were shown off by a number of first- and third-party publishers. One of those publishers was Capcom as they showed off a medieval game called Deep Down, which at the time felt like a next-generation version of Bethesda’s Skyrim. Since the demo was showcased back in February, we haven’t heard much regarding the game, but more details surrounding Deep Down were revealed during Sony’s pre-TGS event. (more…)
