Mystery Samsung Model Leak Turns Out To Be Galaxy S4 Developer Prototype

@Evleaks has been known to leak a number of devices in the past, which turn out to be completely true. But in this week’s case where they “leaked” a mystery Samsung smartphone, it turns out to be a false leak, according to SamMobile.

The image @Evleaks leaked was assumed to be a new Samsung product that might point to a new design for an upcoming Samsung device, but it turns out what they “leaked” was a Samsung Galaxy S4 developer prototype. SamMobile’s insider sent them an image of the prototype they just so happened to have on hand, and it seems to resemble the image of the device @Evleaks leaked. (more…)

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to come in an additional two separate versions: a single SIM version and one with LTE. The single SIM Galaxy S4 Mini has the GT-i9190 model number associated with it, while the LTE version is known as GT-i9195. Final List Of Samsung Galaxy S4 Accessories Revealed

Final List Of Samsung Galaxy S4 Accessories Revealed

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will be made available starting next week on T-Mobile and Sprint, with it expected to pop up on AT&T on April 30 and some time in May for Verizon, we’re sure you’re going to want to pick up an accessory or two when you purchase Samsung’s “next big thing.” We already highlighted some of the accessories that will be available to the Galaxy S4 last month, but Samsung has finally revealed what official accessories they’ll be making available for the device when it launches in the U.S.

The list Samsung released splits the Galaxy S4 accessories into two groups: Unique Accessories and Shared Accessories. The unique accessories set are completely unique to the Galaxy S4 and feature a flip cover in a seven different colors, the S View Flip Cover which allows you to view important information on your phone’s screen without needing to open the cover, a protective cover to protect the back and sides of the Galaxy S4, and a spare battery charging system. Samsung Galaxy S4 Arriving On Verizon This May

Samsung Galaxy S4 Arriving On Verizon This MayWe have seen how different mobile carriers in the US have announced that they will be offering Samsung’s upcoming flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S4, where most of them will hit the respective carriers in the month of April. Take for instance, Sprint with an April 27th rollout, or how about T-Mobile this coming April 24th? US Cellular themselves will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S4, and as part of a deal sweetener, they are throwing in a free S View flip cover. Well, latest official word from Verizon via Twitter would be a May release for the Galaxy S4, which would certainly jive with the recently leaked Staples document that pointed to May 30th as the rollout date for Verizon where the Galaxy S4 is concerned.

The end of May would mean the other mobile carriers would have a one month or so head start over Verizon, but will it really impact sales in the long run? I do not think so, as each mobile carrier has their own set of loyal customers, and sure there will be those who cannot wait and switch carriers, but chances are those numbers will be negligible at best.

US Cellular Taking Samsung Galaxy S4 Pre-Orders, Throws In Free S View Flip Cover To Sweeten The Deal

US Cellular Taking Samsung Galaxy S4 Pre Orders, Throws In Free S View Flip Cover To Sweeten The DealMajor carriers like T-Mobile and Sprint have announced that the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available on their networks later this month, but if for whatever reason you’re not with any of the major carriers and have no plans of jumping ship, either because you get bad coverage in your area or if you don’t like their practices, how about US Cellular then? Yup, while not being one of the major carriers in the US, it looks like US Cellular will also offer up the Samsung Galaxy S4 and have launched a website where customers can place their pre-orders and have the device shipped to them later this month.

Unsurprisingly the price US Cellular is not too different from other carriers and they are charging $199 for the phone along with a two-year contract. However perhaps to help sweeten the deal, the carrier has announced that for customers who pre-order the phone online, they will be able to get themselves a free S View flip cover which is currently worth about $59.99, which isn’t too bad of a deal.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Concept Shows What Could Have Been

Samsung Galaxy S4 Concept Shows What Could Have BeenWhile the Samsung Galaxy S4 is by no means an ugly phone, it’s not exactly the best-looking one either, although we guess that will depend on preference. Either way it is safe to assume that many had expect a major redesign of the phone given the hype and anticipation surrounding it, and for those who don’t find the Galaxy S4’s design particularly striking or memorable, here’s a concept that you might dig. Put together by Florin Kumnova (via Behance), this is a Galaxy S4 concept we can definitely get behind on.

The hardware specs of the phone remain the same as the retail model, with the notable differences being in its design. As you can see, this concept will feature an edge-to-edge display which looks stunning, while keeping the bezels as thin as possible. It retains the home button, although it admittedly looks a bit squashed. We’re not sure what materials the design has gone with, but based on the glossy finish we’re guessing plastic. Kumnova did state that he drew inspiration from previous Galaxy phones and rightfully so as this is somewhat reminiscent of the Galaxy S2, just with a much larger display. What do you guys think?

AT&T Samsung GALAXY S 4 open for pre-orders, arriving April 30

AT&T was one of the first US carriers to announce the pre-order date for the Samsung GALAXY S 4, and customers on Ma Bell can now pre-order the new device directly from their website. As for when the carrier will begin shipping the smartphone, they list a date of April 30, which seems to be when the phone will become available in stores as well.

P3142787-galaxy-s-4-580x326

The 16GB model of the GALAXY S 4 will cost $199, which is quite lower than what AT&T previously mentioned last month, but we’ll certainly take it. If you’re wanting to get the phone off contract, you’ll have to pony up $639 for the privilege. However, it seems AT&T hasn’t yet listed the 32GB model on its website yet, but we should be seeing it soon, most likely at a price of $249 on contract.

The launch of the new phone will come just a couple weeks after the HTC One in the US on AT&T, which gives HTC the advantage in this case, allowing them to put more handsets in the set of buyers before Samsung can. However, we can only assume that the GALAXY S 4 will still be a big hit among avid Galaxy users.

The GALAXY S 4 sports a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080. The US version of the phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at an impressive 1.9GHz with 2GB of RAM. On the back there’s a 13MP camera with a 2600mAh battery right beneath that, which should be enough to keep you going all day. Check out our hands-on with the device to learn more.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 Listed To Ship On April 30th

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 Listed To Ship On April 30thSo, you have been waiting for the longest time to get hold of AT&T’s latest flagship smartphone from Samsung, and that goes without saying that the crown of such “distinction” would be headed towards the Samsung Galaxy S4, after its initial announcement earlier this year in March. In fact, AT&T was rather quick on the draw as they set up a registration page for the Samsung Galaxy S4 nearly as soon as the presentation by the South Korean conglomerate was over, but it seems that said link is now furnished with more details for your perusal.

It seems that there are whispers going around that customers who happen to live in certain areas will be able to place a pre-order for the 16GB model of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in either White Frost or Black Mist shades, and the one thing that has made our hearts beat faster would be the estimated shipping date at the end of this month. You can also pick up this flagship device for $639 if you prefer not to be held down by the likes of a 2-year contract.
