HTC M7 To Feature Ultrapixels Instead Of Megapixels

HTC M7 To Feature Ultrapixels Instead Of MegapixelsAssuming you are one of the early adopters of the HTC M7, and one of your mates ask you over dinner to have a look at your device, while throwing in the question, “Just how many megapixels does this bad boy have?”, you can squarely look at the person in the eye and say nonchalantly, “None.”

Watch his or her jaw drop with a question mark appearing right above the head, before you proceed to share with your mate on how megapixels will soon go the way of the dodo, and ultrapixels are here to stay. Basically, it is said that the upcoming HTC M7 that will be announced later this February 19th will not feature a single 13-megapixel camera sensor, but rather, it will sport a trio of different 4.3-megapixel sensor ‘layers’.

The whole idea behind this is for you to snap higher quality images, where the qualities affected would be crisper and clearer images, with a higher level of color accuracy to boot. Expect HTC to go heavy with ultrapixels as the main advertising point when the HTC M7 is released.

HTC M7 Listed In Vodafone’s Inventory

HTC M7 Listed In Vodafone’s InventoryWhenever there is a spanking new flagship device that is in the works or pipeline, you would know for sure that whispers and rumors would accompany said device. Well, the HTC M7 has definitely stirred up the rumor’s nest, hence it is not surprising to check out another leak from Vodafone Germany’s inventory system that listed the HTC M7, of course. This will be a high-end Android device that will be made available to the masses in black and silver colors.

Widely tipped to be introduced to the masses this coming February 19th at a pre-MWC event organized by HTC, so far all rumors have pointed to a 4.7″ display that carries Full HD resolution, running on a quad-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, accompanied by 2GB RAM, a 13-megapixel camera and of course, a staple with HTC’s devices all this while, the latest Sense 5.0 user interface that will run nicely on top of the Android Jelly Bean platform. Just how much will it cost? Well, we don’t really know just yet, but since it will be a flagship device, cheap is definitely not an option.

HTC M7 US Launch Partners Include AT&T, Sprint And T-Mobile

HTC M7 US Launch Partners Include AT&T, Sprint And T MobileThere are whispers going around that HTC will be launching their flagship device known as the HTC M7 across a range of US carriers first, where these will include AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. Wait a minute here, one name is definitely missing from the list, and just what could it be? Verizon, of course, but it seems that the HTC M7 ship will dock late at Verizon’s dock for no known reason just yet. Perhaps it could be due to the rather massive HTC Droid DNA campaign that Verizon has invested in at the moment, so why bother with another smartphone release so close that does not have that many differences from the Droid DNA in terms of hardware specifications?

The HTC M7 is scheduled for an European release this March 8th according to rumors, and HTC’s press event which is happening on February 19th is just less than a month away, so hopefully more details, including those of the carriers it will appear on, will also be revealed then.

HTC Announces February 19 Launch Event Possibly For The HTC M7

htc feb 19 invite HTC Announces February 19 Launch Event Possibly For The HTC M7

We heard last week HTC was planning to launch its HTC M7 at a dedicated media event on February 19 and not during MWC, and wouldn’t you know it, an invite to an HTC event taking place in New York City made its way to our inbox. And you guys wouldn’t believe the date of the event. February. Nine. Teen.

Yes – it looks as though previous reports of HTC launching its HTC M7 outside of MWC may turn out to be true. We’ll just have to sit back and wait a few more weeks until we can attend HTC’s event. In the meantime, if the M7 is planned to be launched at the event, we expect it to feature a 4.7-inch 1080p HD display, quad-core Qualcomm processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

HTC will also be holding an additional event in London on the same day and time, factoring in the time difference, of course. So we’re sure whatever HTC has up its sleeve, it’ll be big enough to warrant simultaneous launch events in two different countries.

HTC M7 Housing Caught On Video

Adding to the HTC M7 rumor mill is electronic parts seller, ETrade Supply, that recently posted the middle and rear frames of the elusive HTC M7. As you can see in the video above, the rear housing looks similar to HTC’s Droid DNA, except for the metallic buttons and the camera ring. ETrade Supply says that the new piece is 7cm wide and 13.7cm tall, and it has a flat glossy black finish on its back as well. There’s also a USB port at the lower portion of its edge and a port for earphones at the top. (more…)

HTC M7 Announcement On February 19

m7 announcement HTC M7 Announcement On February 19We all know that the HTC M7 is going to be the next flagship device from the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, and yesterday we did bring you whispers of the HTC M7 being confirmed for AT&T, Verizon and Sprint networks. Well, here is another rumor to chew over during lunch – word has it that the HTC M7 might actually be showcased prior to Mobile World Congress at a different event. This bit of information was garnered from a tweet that hailed from an Italian insider, touting that the HTC M7 launch event will happen on February 19, with London as a possible destination.

Of course, if that were to be true, it would not come across as a surprise either, as this is not the first time where HTC chose London to be the platform for a new smartphone announcement. Of course, all of this is pretty much in rumor territory at this point in time, so it would be advisable if you were to take in this bit of news with a pinch of salt.

HTC M7 Already Confirmed For AT&T, Verizon, & Sprint? [Rumor]

HTC HTC M7 Already Confirmed For AT&T, Verizon, & Sprint? [Rumor]Just as you were about to think that the HTC M7 rumors were enough to prove its actual existence, EvLeaks, known as the reputable surreptitious informant on Twitter, tweeted something that really got our attention. Just a few hours ago, EvLeaks tweeted saying, “HTC M7 confirmed for AT&T, leaving TMO as the only major US carrier lacking concrete evidence.” The surreptitious informant is claiming that the HTC M7 is already “confirmed” for the U.S. major carriers, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint that is, with the exception of T-Mobile. HTC M7 Spotted In The Flesh

htc m7 real HTC M7 Spotted In The FleshYou know what is better than seeing a render of a particular device that is hyped up to be the next flagship model for a company? Why, seeing the real deal in the flesh, of course! The folks over at Android Police seem to have the privilege of checking out the HTC M7 that you see above here, and the beautiful thing is, this is the most realistic and clear photo shot just yet, without any of those shaky hands coming into play. It does seem as though the home and multitasking buttons have been swapped, and the back of the device will in no way resemble the render that we saw earlier.

The HTC logo at the back does seem to come in a glossy black design instead of being flaunted in shiny, embedded chrome, while the Beats logo will just be there sans any accompanying text. Unfortunately, there is no FCC logo just yet, and neither does it come with other product certification marks, so it could very well be one of the more final prototypes still. The HTC M7 will come with HTC Sense 5.0 on top of the Android operating system, and we cannot wait until MWC 2013 as that is most probably when HTC will unveil it.

HTC M7 Render Seen

htc m7 render HTC M7 Render SeenWell, well, what do we have here? A render of the yet unreleased HTC M7, although this situation would most probably change by the time Mobile World Congress rolls around. It is said that the HTC M7 will debut then, and this flagship device could be just the tonic required to help boost the ailing Taiwanese manufacturer’s fortunes.

The render seen on the right is allegedly part of a short animation clip that instructs new (and hopefully, proud) owners of the HTC M7 on the intricacies of first-time SIM card installation. There is a distinct lack of branding and additional details on the render itself, leading us to figure out that HTC wants to keep the HTC M7 under wraps as much as possible before its official debut at MWC 2013.

So far, some of the confirmed hardware specifications include a 4.7” Full HD display that is accompanied by a rather speedy quad-core 1.7GHz processor and a price point that is whispered to retail north of $600 in the form of an unlocked device, clearly placing this in premium smartphone territory.
