Philips has just launched Cloud TV at IFA 2013, a service that’ll work on its latest Smart TVs including the hot-off-the-press Philips 9000 4K series. It’ll bring streaming of “hundreds of local, national, international and special interest channels” to 2012 or newer Philips Smart TV models. An app will also be available for those sets to scan all that content, most of which will be free. The company also announced Cloud Explorer, which will let you store your personal photos, video and audio by signing in to Dropbox or creating a new account through Philips. Both are now available in most of Europe and Russia, so if you’re pining for yet another cloud streaming or storage service, check the PR after the break.

Livestream may have been stepping out of its comfort zone with the introduction of hardware tailored for prosumers. That being said, the company’s still working hard on expanding its bread and butter: video streaming — and what better way to do so than by being available on Roku, a streaming platform that’s thriving in more ways than one. Today, the Livestream channel will be making its debut on the tiny player, giving viewers access to a vast amount of internet-based programming. Of course, this includes live (and archived) sporting events, concerts, red carpets and broadcasts from more than 60 local US news stations. “For us, connected TVs was the next piece of the puzzle,” Livestream CEO Max Haot told us, adding that coming to the Roku is only the start of what he believes “will be many future developments on bringing Livestream to living rooms worldwide.”%Gallery-slideshow79380%

Earlier this year, Amazon reached a deal with Viacom to keep many of the media company’s shows on Prime Instant Video, even scoring some exclusive content along the way. Now it’s time for Amazon’s other streaming service, Lovefilm, to benefit from a similar agreement. As you’d expect, Lovefilm’s UK subscribers will now be able to enjoy a variety of content from Viacom networks, including shows on MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. And fret not if you don’t enjoy shows like Jersey Shore — at the very least you’ll have the likes of SpongeBob and Go Diego Go! to keep the kiddos busy while you catch up on Man v. Food.

If you’ve ever wished that WatchESPN would offer more Spanish-language sports and non-stop news, today’s your lucky day. The streaming service now includes access to ESPN Deportes and ESPNews, both of which are available to TV subscribers through Apple TV boxes, mobile apps and the web. Xbox Live viewers will get the channels soon, the broadcaster says. Only some will appreciate the new WatchESPN content, but it’s hard to disagree with getting some extra fútbol coverage at no extra charge.
