What we have here appears to be some variation of the Samsung Galaxy S II, with support for 850MHz and 1900MHz GSM frequencies, making its way through the FCC. Now, we know what you’re thinking, “didn’t we already see an AT&T ready S II?” Yep, but this one sports a different model number — GT-I9103, and you know where we’ve seen that before? Those mysterious Tegra 2-equipped Galaxy S II benchmarks. The rumblings of Sammy’s flagship handset coming in two versions, one rocking NVIDIA’s mobile chip, aren’t without precedent — Exynos is still fairly young silicon and this could be a way to boost supplies (as we put it, in the most politically correct terms possible) “outside its critical markets.” In other words, don’t expect to pick one of these up at your local AT&T shop, unless your local store happens to be in St. Petersburg Russia.

Been lusting after the Galaxy S II, but aren’t willing to break the bank? We hear you, and apparently Samsung does too. Up for pre-order today, on the Swedish arm of Three, is the Galaxy Z — billed as a more affordable spawn from its Korean progenitor. The Gingerbread-toting handset will sport a 4.2-inch Super Clear LCD, 1GHz dual core processor (rumored to be Tegra 2), and 8GB of onboard storage, extensible with microSD. Fret not camera junkies, also present is a 5 megapixel sensor plus flash and “HD” video recording. All that stands between you and this little Galaxy, are 4,000 kronor (about $630) and your undying love of Swedish meatballs.

Sprint finally released its much-anticipated Evo 3D into the wild today, but it turns out that’s not the only good news for fans of the Now Network. Courtesy of This is my next, we’ve got some tasty tidbits regarding Sprint’s forthcoming phone lineup for Q3 of this year. Apparently, we can expect to see the successor to Samsung’s Epic 4G, the Epic 2, sporting a 4-inch display, a single-core 1.2GHz Hummingbird processor, and an 8-megapixel shooter. There’s also an unnamed 4G device from Sammy in the works, which our gadget senses tell us may be Sprint’s version of the Galaxy S II, the Within. Not a fan of little green bots? Not to worry, because RIM is bringing its Bold Touch and Monaco handsets to the carrier, plus a push-to-talk BlackBerry, too. Well played, Mr. Hesse — with all these fancy new phones in the works, might this be the summer of Sprint?

Oh, we’ve been fairly certain for a while now that we’d see the sexy Samsung Galaxy S II saunter on over to AT&T, but now we’ve attained what appears to be the first official photo of the handset. Samsung’s Singapore division has a series of professional shots of planned accessories, including this “Samsung Galaxy S II Desktop Dock,” a handsome pyramid stand sporting HDMI and 3.5mm stereo-out jacks — and of course, an AT&T logo on its comfortably cradled smartphone. We’re still not quite sure when Samsung’s flagship will hit the US, but it had better get a move on — we’re slated to see a Galaxy S III by this time next year, after all.

Update: We should probably note it looks like the Galaxy S II’s seen a bit of a makeover for AT&T, gaining the four familiar capacitive touch buttons and generally appearing more like the Infuse 4G.
