Hasta La Gadget!

Those lovely people over at Nokia have furnished us with a few images of what their dashboard integration will look like, as well as the names of a few more partners for the Terminal Mode initiative. Intended to smarten up your car’s hardware with the phone’s capabilities — whether that be to play back music, use Ovi Maps, browse the web, or whatever else — this was announced in partnership with Alpine yesterday, but today we’re hearing that Fiat, Harman Becker and Valmet Automotive are also getting in on the fun. The gallery below shows off a mockup from Valmet, which plops your Nokia into a cradle just under the Eva concept’s “on” button, and then transfers all the important stuff onto an LCD integrated into the dashboard above. Nokia tells us that each OEM will have their own particular design, so this might not be how they’ll all look, but as far as ease of use goes, we don’t know how you can improve much on what’s being shown already. Let’s just hope the software is as effective as the presentation is handsome.

It’s impossible to say with certainty what we’re looking at here, but by all appearances, this is likely the first time most of you (and all of us) have seen HTC’s so-called Supersonic on video. As a refresher, this is the phone rumored to be rocking Android, WiMAX, and pretty much every other spec line item you could possibly want for a date with destiny on Sprint later this year — and while you can’t make out much from the 40-second video, you can clearly make out the red earpiece grill we’ve seen in past pictures, suggesting that this isn’t the similarly-equipped Incredible we’ve heard of for Verizon. Anyhow, care to get dinner and a movie sometime this Summer, Supersonic? Follow the break for the full video.

Update: …and that was quick! Video’s been pulled, but if it’s any consolation, there’s not much more to it than the screen grab above. We’ll leave the video after the break just in case it comes back online.

Update 2: New video posted after the break! Yay! Also, commenters have astutely noted that there appears to be some sort of nav pad at the bottom of the phone, something the Supersonic lacks — so perhaps this is the Incredible after all, or a third Android superphone out of HTC. Clearly, we’re not complaining if that’s the case.

“Remember the story about the boy who suddenly got everything he ever wanted?” asks the high-pitched man in a funny suit. Gene Wilder was probably referring to the Moblic E7. This 4-inch WVGA MID sports an unnamed 600MHz processor, 8GB of built-in storage, WiMAX, microSD expansion, but most impressively slides open to reveal a QWERTY keyboard and delicious SNES-style gaming controls. There’s not much more info to go on, like OS, production plans, or price, but sign us up for a dozen.

We just heard about Garmin-Asus’ WinMo 6.5.3-packin’ M10 yesterday, and already the handset has been broken out for a photo shoot and hands-on review in Russia. The design itself isn’t anything otherworldly, but we have to say — we’re kind of digging the user interface. Granted, we’ve a soft spot in our hearts for Garmin’s nuvi line of PNDs, so anything remotely familiar gets a big thumbs-up ’round these parts. At any rate, critics noted that the phone was a pleasant mix of WinMo and nuvi, which is something that really sets it apart from other Windows Mobile-based offerings. There’s nary a mention of exactly how awesome this thing would be with Windows Mobile 7, but if you’re in no hurry to ponder the next big thing, give that source link a look.

We’re not sure if this is a hint toward the final form factor, or merely the simplest conglomeration of parts available to get working Project Natal sensors in the hands of developers, but The Seattle Times has posted a picture today a developer prototype of the motion-sensing unit. The seems clearly slimmer in proportion than the soundbar-styled renders we’ve seen thus far, but also quite a bit different than the hacked together hardware used for the Jimmy Fallon demo of the tech. Of course, the fact that the assembly has been slapped atop a Gorillapod makes it hard to believe this is near-final hardware, but it’s still fun to see this stuff as evolves toward our living rooms.
