When you need to get a new headset, you want the perfect cross-section between comfort, quality, price, and durability. There are more options than your brain can feasibly comprehend on the market, but the best idea is to decide what price range you’re willing to deal with, and read as many reviews as possible. There are some brands you’re going to recognize and trust, but if it’s not quite in your budget to spend $180 or more, then know that setting your sights lower doesn’t mean you’re going to miss out.

Take for example the HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset. This is a USB peripheral that has 53mm drivers, 7.1 virtual surround sound, and a noise-cancelling microphone. Not only that, but it also has an inline sound card, memory foam ear cups with an extra set of Velour ear pads when you’re feeling especially fancy, and the microphone can be easily detached. It’s compatible for PC, Mac, PS4, XBOX ONE, and WiiU.

Needless to say, you would expect the price point to be higher for all these goodies, but it sits at around $84.99-99.99. This is completely dependant on what color headset you want to wear as options are pink and white, black and red, and gun metal. There are other options to check out, but this doesn’t have 4.5 stars for reviews pooling from over 2,000 people for nothing. It all just depends on how pretentious you want to be when you talk about brand and price tag.
