McDonald’s Employee Tells All (But Actually Likes His Job) On Reddit

A McDonald’s employee recently hosted an IAmA questionaire on Reddit (basically an “ask me anything”) about his experience working for the chain. If you’re expecting him to rip apart the company, think again — user GamesMisconduct63 actually likes his job a lot, crediting the great employees that he works with. But he was still able to share a lot of interesting tidbits about the biggest restaurant chain in the country.

At the job, GameMisconduct63 has gotten ice cream thrown at him, cursed at and been told that someone would kill him. Someone has also attempted to pay in board game money.

While he can only speak for his location in Ohio, he sets the record straight about tampering with food. “Contrary to popular belief, NOBODY (at our location, at least) would ever, ever mess with the food that is going to a customer. That’t like the biggest dick move ever.” If burgers are already made, this particular franchise lets burgers sit in the steamer for 10 minutes maximum. He claims it takes about an hour before the burgers lose their “structural integrity.” His McDonald’s (one of the top 500 in America) also has someone clean the tables in the lobby every 10 minutes as well as the floors if needed.

Apple reportedly planning major iTunes overhaul, better iCloud integration and sharing

Apple reportedly planning major iTunes overhaul, better iCloud integration and sharingWhile Google is beefing up its ecosystem, Apple is also planning some big changes to its iTunes platform according to Bloomberg. Sources inside the company claim, by the end of the year iTunes will undergo a major transformation seemingly designed to counter recent moves by Google. Key to the plans is iCloud. Cupertino’s cloud storage solution will be much more tightly integrated, allowing easier access to and management of media collections across devices. Another part of the online offerings will be content discovery. As Netflix has already discovered, and Google is trying to master, making accurate suggestions for new music and films is key to keeping customers coming back to a media market. Deeper social network integration is also part of finding and sharing new music. Apple is supposedly in negotiations with the record labels to allow users to send songs to friends for free — a feature both Spotify and Google Music already support. For a few more details check out the source.

JINS PC for Hackers glasses

Who would have thought that hackers would need a special pair of glasses to help them get their nefarious objectives achieved? Well, here we are with JINS making an announcement that come July 2nd, they will put up for sale a limited release of 1,500 pairs of the “JINS PC for Hackers” glasses. I wonder whether your regular programming jock would find this pair useful, never mind that whatever he does are just all spreadsheets and word processors, instead of busy circumventing whatever security measures that have been put in place by the government.

It is a good thing however, that JINS drew the line clearly right from the get go, where the term “hackers” here refers to someone with a whole lot of experience and skill when it comes to using computers and navigating through networks, compared to the glory hunters that border on the criminal which are portrayed on media channels. The glasses will feature a single lens that stretches far out over your eyes, making sure you have optimal field of vision, and the arms of the glasses will also connect around your temple. Lightly tinted, the lens intend to limit the amount of blue light that are often emitted by computer monitors. They cost $125 a pop if you are interested.
