Pappy, Abused ‘Bait Dog,’ Rescued After Having Paw Mutilated, Jar Stuck On Head (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Volunteers from a North Texas animal group helped to rescue a black Labrador retriever who was found wandering the streets with a jar stuck to his head and a chunk cut out of his paw.

“Pappy,” as he was named, was found wandering the streets of Oak Cliff according to the Dallas Morning News. Along with ticks, fleas and bite marks, Pappy’s paw was badly infected. It looked as if someone had taken a knife and cut a hole straight through before dragging it out.

Jury finds Apple did not infringe on Samsung’s patents, awards no damages

Jury finds Apple did not infringe on Samsung's patents, awards no damages

The jury in Apple v. Samsung dealt a big blow to Samsung by finding that it did infringe on some of the Apple patents at the center of the case, and it didn’t have any better news for the company when it came to Samsung’s own claims that Apple infringed on some of its patents as well. The jury found that Apple did not infringe on those in all five cases (the so-called utility patents), although it did rule that the patents were valid. That also, of course, means no damages awarded to Samsung.

Blizzard publishes World of Warcraft Patch 5.0.4 “Survival Guide”

World of Warcraft players, the other, if you remember, we reported that in the upcoming patch 5.0.4, players will be able to access all races in the game (save for the Pandaran which will be unlocked when the game has been released) regardless which expansion they own. Basically what this means is that if you have only bought the Burning Crusade expansion, you will still be able to play as either the Worgen or Goblin race which was introduced in Cataclysm. In any case Blizzard has recently released a page on their World of Warcraft website dubbed the “5.0.4 Survival Guide” and it basically gives players a very brief preview as to what they can expect. This includes the changes to classes, the talent system, currency conversion and more. If you’re planning on continuing your adventures in World of Warcraft then perhaps this Survival Guide might be worth checking out.

Kodak to exit the consumer industry, will focus on the enterprise instead

Back in the days of the film camera, brands such as Kodak were extremely popular not just for the film they produced, but for their cameras as well. However as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and it certainly seems that way for Kodak. The company has officially announced that they will be selling off their Personalized Imaging and Document Imaging Business to concentrate on “commercial, packaging and functional printing solutions and enterprise services.”

For those wondering, the Personalized Imaging arm consists of print kiosks and consumer film, while the Document Imaging Business will comprise of scanners and document management. Essentially Kodak will be exiting the consumer market but will remain in the enterprise sector, such as making film for the movie industry and film for aerial and industrial photography.

Samsung Owes Apple a Comedically Huge $1.05 Billion in Damages (Updated) [Apple Vs Samsung]

The patent trial of the century is not going well for Samsung; the jury has ruled almost entirely in Apple’s favor, with damages so far totaling a hilarious $1.05 billion.
