Motorola may have pushed some of its earliest Android 4.0 updates to the Verizon-centric Droid RAZR, but it hasn’t forgotten those who call the international, HSPA-based RAZR (the XT910) their own: the phone’s first wave of over-the-air upgrades to the new OS should be rolling out now, going by GSMArena‘s tips. Who exactly is getting the upgrade isn’t obvious, although at least one owner on Tesco’s network has the visual evidence to suggest the UK is part of the first batch. We can vouch that at least a few Canadian RAZRs are still making do with Android 2.3. Never mind the unconfirmed claims of carrier-related delays for the update, though — we’re just glad that both Americans and the rest of the world will likely be on the same page before too long.

Stab-Resistant Prison Pens: So People at the Office Can’t Stab You in the Back
Posted in: Today's ChiliAlmost everything can be turned into a weapon. I think that much is clear if you’ve seen footage of prison brawls, where anything from spoons to toothbrushes can be deadly objects. How much more if prisoners somehow manage to grab an officer’s pen?
Of course, they came prepared: with these Stab-Resistant Prison Pens.
I’m not sure if these are the exact same ones that they use in prisons, but I’m pretty sure their pens have the same ‘stab-resistant’ feature. Which is, they bend this way and that when someone tries to use them to stab somebody.
So if you have some sort of phobia that has something to do with getting stabbed by a pen, then you’d better carry only these types of pens in your home and in your office.

It’s time finally, after long last, to get our hands on the epic inline skating rock and roll music explosion known as Jet Set Radio here in the future, 2012! This game has been a fan-favorite ever since SEGA dropped it on the console known as Dreamcast. Now we’re ready for a summer release here on September 19th on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
You’ll be able to pick this game up on the PlayStation Vita as well, but you’ll be waiting a bit longer – October 16th to be exact. The Xbox version you’ll be able to pick up for 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99 from the Xbox LIVE Arcade. For PlayStation you’ll be heading to the PlayStation Network where you’ll be getting it for $9.99 as well.
UPDATE: The PlayStation version will be popping up on the 18th of September, as it turns out – lucky you!
The PS Vita version will be working cross-platform with the PS3, but the developers of the game have not yet made it clear if once you’ve got the PS3 version you’ll get the PS Vita version for free, per the situation on other recent cross-platform games. Other games that’ve come out recently that are PS Vita and PS3 for the price of one have been Zen Pinball 2, WhipEout HD, and Motorstorm RC – catch em all!
This release will hopefully once again bring some fantastic and groundbreaking aesthetics to the console universe as it did all the way back in its original release. Cell-shading and fabulous art direction influenced masses of games right from the start of that epic drop. Another game coming soon for re-release in “HD” is NiGHTS Into Dreams – a Sega Saturn game. Can’t wait for both!

LG Eclipse (LS970) pops up in FCC docs, ready to prop up Sprint’s LTE network

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire and by the looks of this latest FCC filing, LG’s LS970 is all but a lock for Sprint’s LTE lineup. Rumored to bow on that carrier as the Eclipse, the heavyweight handset, allegedly outfitted with a quad-core Krait processor, companion Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB RAM, has already been the subject of several leaks, leaving little of its spec load to the imagination. And now with the outing of these Commission docs, we can confirm that this uberphone does indeed pack 3G/4G radios tailored for the Hesse-led operator (CDMA 820 / 850 / 1900; LTE Band 25), as well as support for NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi a/b/g/n, GPS and SVLTE (simultaneous voice and data). While we can’t be exactly sure as to its actual screen size, that reported 4.67-inch figure does appear likely given its 5.2 x 2.8 inch (130.9 x 71.6mm) dimensions. That’s about all we were able to glean from the spate of included tests, but if you call Big Yellow your wireless home and are itching for a GS III alternative, this could be your next.
