‘Rehab With Dr. Drew’: Deanna Talks About Being Molested And Raped (VIDEO)

Deanna’s stint on “Rehab with Dr. Drew” has certainly gotten off to a rocky start, if this week’s episode was any indication. She was able to take advantage of the therapy sessions offered to start to talk about the experiences in her past that might have led to her seeking refuge in her addictions.

She talked about being molested as a child, and then raped twice as an adult. “He held me overnight the second time. He held me and my baby. He did it in front of my 1-year-old,” she said.

Even worse, her mother said it was her own fault that it had happened. “That’s what you get for being high,” she quoted her mother as saying.

More Windows Phone 8 devices with larger screens from HTC coming?

Do you love indulging in a game of Tower Defense, no matter the “base” game? Well, if you have answered in the affirmative, surely you are experienced with the concept of enemy waves bearing down upon your carefully constructed (or not) towers to defend your base. Well, Ren Weiguang, president of HTC China, just mentioned casually that his company will be working on additional Windows Phone 8 devices that will carry a larger display compared to what the recently announced HTC 8S and HTC 8X, which means we will definitely see a 4.5” display at the very least considering how the HTC 8X came with a 4.3” display.

Chances are, this larger sized HTC smartphone that is in the works could very well be the quad-core powered HTC Zenith, where initial rumors did point towards a massive 4.7” screen, making it move ever closer to phablet territory. Come to think of it, HTC has yet to dive into the world of phablets, making us wonder what is preventing them from doing so. Would you be happy with a Windows Phone 8 device that has a larger display?

‘Breaking Amish’: Jeremiah Gets A Tattoo, But Is This Show Fake? (VIDEO)

Jeremiah took another bold step that would greatly upset traditional Amish communities on “Breaking Amish.” He decided it was time to get inked up.

“Once they find out about this, there’s no turning back,” he said. But did Jeremiah turn his back on the strictest parts of the Amish tradition before? Just how much of this fish-out-of-water story is true for these young people?

Zap2It details a list of several pieces of evidence that indicates these men and woman may have “broken Amish” years ago. Things like Kate submitting photos to modeling sites for a few years. Or how about Rebecca and Abe already having a child together — they are virtual strangers on the show, only flirting a bit. Has Jeremiah been out more than a decade; already divorced with three kids?

Huawei Ascend W1 targeted for end 2012 release?

Huawei does want to get involve in the Windows Phone 8 scene, and they recently targeted the Huawei Ascend W1 to be released before the year 2012 is over. It is widely believed that the Huawei Ascend W1 will show up alongside the higher end Huawei Ascend W2, although that remains to be confirmed. This would mean that Huawei will be yet another player in the Windows Phone 8 scene, what with Samsung, Nokia and HTC having jumped aboard the Windows Phone 8 bandwagon already.

According to Huawei’s Chairman of Devices, Richard Yu, he mentioned on China’s social network Weibo that the upcoming W1 should be able to debut before the year is over, where it ought to burn the equivalent of $320 in your bank account, coming in black, blue, pink and white colors. All that it requires now from the general public is some patience – will the Huawei Ascend W1 be able to live up to the expectations of what the other manufacturers have rolled out so far where Windows Phone 8 is concerned?

DENVER — Matt Schaub’s day started with a sack for a safety and ended with him getting X-rays on his aching left shoulder. In between, an illegal hit from linebacker Joe Mays sent both his helmet and a piece of his ear flying.

Despite the blood, bruises and bumps, Schaub said he felt pretty darn good.

Robot snake detects tumors by slithering through body

If you hate having creepy crawlies around, then you might be loathe to have this robot snake being inserted into your body as though it was some sort of Matrix nightmare come true. There is a very good reason for having this robot snake slither through your entire body though, especially when it is supposed to help you sniff out cancer. This cancer-sniffing robot was developed by engineers at Britain’s OC Robotics, where it can identify as well as remove hard-to-reach tumors. Of course, it will not run in an automated manner, but rather, the robot snake itself will be guided by a nearby surgeon, and the patient need not worry about being carved open – meaning there will be no scars to speak of, at least externally, after the procedure.

Right now, the robot snake remains as a prototype, where researchers remain optimistic concerning its potentially non-invasive qualities. After all, it is meant to be as minimally invasive as possible, enabling a surgeon to look and “feel” inside the body through the clever implementation of cameras and extremely sensitive equipment to provide feedback. Sounds like a medical “video game” of sorts, don’t you think so?

Titans’ ‘Music City Miracle’ Play Results In Touchdown Against Lions (VIDEO)

They did it again? They did it again!

Late in the first quarter against the Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans special teams coach Alan Lowry called a trick play that looked awfully familiar.

Darius Reynaud was back to catch Detroit’s punt near Tennessee’s 40-yard line. Once he caught it, Reynaud took a couple steps and then turned and threw the ball across the field to teammate Tommie Campbell. Campbell caught the ball at the 35-yard line (meaning it was clearly a backwards lateral) and sprinted up the right sideline untouched all the way for the touchdown.

Foxconn riot; will the iPhone 5 be affected?

Engadget reported a few hours ago that Foxconn’s Taiyuan plant in China saw a riot occur earlier this morning. While Foxconn is not an exclusive Apple parts manufacturer, that particular factory did have a stake in the fruity company’s latest smartphone, since they produce the back cases of the new iPhone 5 in addition to numerous other devices, according to an undercover report from a Chinese newspaper just last month. Not only that, Engadget’s translation of the report did mention Foxconn’s alleged “harsh management as well as ‘practically compulsory’ over-time work” in addition to citing “unofficial reports claiming the ’2,000-people’ riot was triggered by security guards hitting a worker at 10pm local time.”

Could this result in a delay for iPhone 5 production? Perhaps not, assuming that this is a one-off and isolated incident, although there has been another report of a riot breaking out at Chengdu. Needless to say, it would be putting the cart before the horse to say that the ramp-up of the iPhone 5’s production is the main spark for the riot, but one still cannot rule that out completely with conviction. What do you think of the entire shebang?

EMMYS 2012: Michael J. Fox Receives Spontaneous Standing Ovation (VIDEO)

Michael J. Fox made his presence known at “The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards” in a big way, and it was completely unscripted and spontaneous. The 51-year-old actor, who recently inked a deal to return to network television in his own series, was on hand to present the award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

It’s not usually a situation that warrants a standing ovation, but despite what Jimmy Kimmel said in his introduction, everybody loves Michael J. Fox. He’s been a true inspiration throughout his battle with Parkinson’s disease, and his return to television is a testament to both his dedication to acting, and his successful management of the disease.

“Steady as a rock,” Fox quipped, as everyone in the theater rose to their feet. And then, it was business as usual. Fox closed out the evening, giving “Modern Family” its fourth Emmy on the night. The show had already won in the categories of directing (Steven Levitan), supporting actress (Julie Bowen) and supporting actor (Eric Stonestreet).
