Circuit-Bent Mr. Incredible is Incredibly Inappropriate

Hackers love to take kids’ toys and cheap gadgets and turn them into electronic noisemakers using a technique long referred to as “circuit bending.” Usually you find something like a mutant Furby or maybe an Atari joystick – or a combo. But here we have Pixar’s Mr. Incredible – looking quite svelte these days. Oh, and he has a massive erection.

circuit bent mr incredible

The warped mind of Olaf Ladousse took this once innocent Mr. Incredible phone and turned it into an electronic plaything – where you have to play with Mr. Incredible’s potentiometer-enhanced junk to make Lo-fi sounds. What kind of sounds? Well, press play on the video below (and turn the volume down if you don’t want to blow out your eardrums.)

If you’re a real freak and want to add this to your collection of weird and rude toys, head on over to Etsy, where you can grab it for $99 (USD).

You’ll Be Snoring on this Pokémon Snorlax Bean Bag

I’ve never been able to keep up on all the different Pokémon. Somewhere around Pikachu and Squirtle, I lose track. Though, I’m definitely familiar with Snorlax, a big, roly-poly guy who looks like the fattest, laziest Pokémon in all of Kanto. In fact, his abilities include “Thick Fat” and “Gluttony”. I’m not kidding. Now, you can take a nap on his big Poké-belly, courtesy of the Snorlax bean bag chair.

This full-size bean bag chair is handmade by Ashley over at A Geek Boutique. It looks like the perfect place to curl up and count ‘em all (and I’m talking about sheep, not Pokémon). Thankfully, it weighs just a few pounds – way less than the 1014 pounds that an actual Snorlax weighs. If Snorlaxes actually existed, that is.

So gather up all your Pokédollars, and head on over to Etsy to order your very own Snorlax bean bag. It’s $299(USD) – not including the beans – in order to cut down on shipping cost, but she’ll sell you the beans too if you’re okay with the extra cost. I’ve been told that the Snorlax has a taste for refried beans, so you might want to go with those.

Samsung Throws Down the Gauntlet with Its New iPhone-Bashing Ad [Samsung]

Not too long ago, Samsung faced a big loss against Apple in court, and now, it’s just sat through the announcement of the new iPhone, which sold out its preorders in a matter of hours. What’s a rival manufacturer to do? That’s easy; if you’re Samsung, you attack. More »

Verizon’s Galaxy Note II purportedly poses for the camera, over-branding included

Verizon's Galaxy Note 2 purportedly poses for the camera, over-branding included

Phablet lovers on Verizon may have reason to rejoice, because the carrier’s variant of the Galaxy Note II may have been captured in the flesh. The white device is aesthetically identical to the version straight from Samsung’s house, save for its questionable carrier-branding. While the back of the phone sports a seemingly legit “Verizon 4G LTE” logo along with its moniker, you’ll notice a rather obnoxiously-planted “Verizon” logo on its home button — perhaps a bit too ridiculous to be the real deal. That said, it’s almost certain that the Note II will officially make it to Verizon, no matter if it’s dressed like the photos above or not; this purported variant lines up nicely with screenshots leaked earlier this week showing AT&T and Verizon compatibility. Now, if only we could have further confirmation — perhaps in the way of a second visit to the FCC in the near feature or some leaky memos.

[Thanks, Sean P.]

Microsoft announces new entertainment and game studio focused on Windows 8 tablet development

Microsoft announces new entertainment and game studio focused on Windows 8 tablet developmentWindows 8 slates are riding a wave of 40 Xbox titles into an October launch, and now Microsoft has laid the foundation to deliver more games with a brand new studio focused on tablet development. The currently unnamed, London-based outfit will be headed by former Rare Production Director Lee Schuneman, who has shepherded Kinect Sports titles, the Xbox 360 Avatars, Fable: The Journey and the Xbox’s Sky TV app to completion. Slabs running Redmond’s latest OS won’t see a project from the team for a while, however, as the studio is still looking for new hires and won’t open its doors until November.
