Super rare Genesect Pokémon is free for early Pokémon Black/White 2 adopters

If there is a good reason to be an early adopter when it comes to the Pokémon series, then surely you would want to make a beeline for Pokémon Black/White 2 before November 12. After all, your “effort” will net you an extremely rare Bug-Steel-type Mythical Pokémon known as Genesect that you see on the right. The step to obtaining Genesect into your Pokémon bestiary would be to purchase the game (duh!) and hook up to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection online prior to November 12, which means you have slightly more than a month from the game’s October 7 launch in order to be part of this elite group. I have a feeling that this is an offer which is hard to refuse, and chances are we will see sales records being broken for the latest Pokémon title.

Hard to believe that this game has made it all the way from the humble Game Boy to where it is today though. Who would have thought? Do bear in mind that the Genesect offer seems to be made available for folks living in North America only at this point in time.

World Economic Forum’s Energy For Society Initiative Aims To Improve Energy And Living Standards

A new international initiative aims to unite leaders of the world’s energy companies to meet global needs while improving living standards. The World Economic Forum‘s Energy For Society Initiative, which launches September 11, brings together 20 founding signatories from some of the world’s largest energy firms.

According to the WEF, the initiative’s members are united under five guiding principles: “supplying secure and affordable access to energy; having efficient energy systems; upholding responsible citizenship in communities; contributing to economic development and promoting energy literacy.”

The World Economic Forum’s Roberto Bocca, Senior Director, Head of Energy Industries, said in a statement, “This is the first time that the global energy community is demonstrating such a commitment to society, not only by sharing their successes and challenges to improve their industry’s business practices with transparency, but also by demonstrating how those principles might be implemented concretely.”

Hulu’s PlayStation 3 app upgraded, is the first for the living room to deliver the ‘new experience’

Hulu's PlayStation 3 app upgraded, is the first for the living room to deliver its 'new experience'

The folks over at Hulu have been focused on cleaning up content discovery and playback for a while, and now they’ve turned their collective eye to the PlayStation 3 Hulu Plus app. An update rolling out this evening brings a number of tweaks we saw hit its redesigned website in August, including the “tray-style” layout of shows, larger artwork, improved search with results that appear in the dropdown and simplified player controls. Take a peek in the gallery for a few screenshots of the new UI or after the break for an intro trailer. Although other platforms weren’t mentioned specifically Hulu said the PS3 is the first living room device to show off its new experience, which leads us to believe other devices should get a similar look eventually. Subscribers can take a look on the PlayStation Network to see if they find any improvements, non-subscribers can, as usual, jump in on a free seven day trial.
