A few notable titles that will be available on November 18 include Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, Transformers Prime, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We’ve already gotten some details about Black Ops II a couple weeks ago, but we’re looking forward to hearing about the other games that are coming on launch day.
The Wii U will be available in two versions: a Basic Set and a Deluxe Set. The Basic Set will sell for $299 and includes the Wii U system, the Wii U touchscreen gamepad, 8GB of storage, an HDMI cable, and a sensor bar for Wii remotes. It seems that there is no end in sight to the woes of Apple’s iPhone 5. But then, it may also seem so because Apple is known for shipping out the highest-quality products. We have earlier witnessed the Scuffgate as well as the light leaks in iPhone 5, apart from the reports of intermittent WiFi connectivity on Apple support forums.
And now, yet another issues is being reported by iPhone 5 users. According to the forums at Anandtech, a number of users have reported to have seen purple halo in photos taken with iPhone 5′s camera. The halo is seen when you take photos with the camera directed towards a bright source, such as some direct light source or the Sun. (more…)

If you liked the look of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 when we reviewed it back in May, but were holding out for a T-Mobile 4G variety, then your patience might soon be rewarded. A Tablet-shaped device from Samsung sporting the model number SGH-T779 has just popped up at the FCC. While that code name might not tell us much, the T-Mobile branding, and the 4G logo are a little easier to make sense of. There was another model, SGH-I497, that went through the FCC with the same ID — which had a distinct AT&T / Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 flavor to it — so betting fans might consider the odds of this being the same thing, but for another operator, as being reasonable. Those who prefer not to chance the hand of fate, likely only need wait a short while, however, for this to pop up on the network’s store to find out.

Is the USB End of Your Lightning Cable Getting Stuck In Your Computer? [Chatroom]

If you were wondering how Facebook was going to take their Groups platform to the next level, look no further – they’ve tied the knot with Dropbox for massive amounts of storage space for all. What you’ll be able to do with this storage space is share your larger files with your buddies, make it simple for your Group surrounding your business or club to share files – perhaps a PDF guide for your next big showing! You’ll be able to upload large files of all kinds – videos, packs of notes, your new photo collection, whatever you need!
What the actual service provides is not a new way to upload files to the cloud, but a connection between Dropbox and Facebook. You’ll still need to upload your files through Dropbox, but the path from your Facebook Group to the files you seek will be much, much easier. And better integrated – you wont have to post a link each time, you’ll have a big ol’ box there ready for you – easy to see, easy to click.
If you make edits to your Dropbox folders, an update will appear in your Group. If you make edits to your files in the cloud, an update will reflect this as well. This service will make Dropbox an extension of your already diverse group on Facebook. Here Facebook expands to a level beyond that which their current server space will allow – or that they want it to allow, given the wild and sometimes dangerous world of web storage.
Working with Dropbox will allow Facebook to continue to be as safe – legally – as they are now, while still making it possible for people to share files of all types. No longer will you be limited – in groups – to single photos and relatively small videos. Now the storage world is yours to command!

Yesterday, Google chairman Eric Schmidt said that the company has yet to start work on a Google Maps app for iOS. It certainly bummed a lot of iPhone and iPad users out since it would now be a while before they could be saved from the Apple Maps fiasco. However, the New York Times is reporting that Google is indeed currently working on a Maps app for iOS after all.
As you may already know, Apple ditched Google Maps in favor of their own solution in iOS 6. However, Apple’s new maps app isn’t exactly a home run. The accuracy isn’t all that great, and public transit information and directions aren’t supported. This has resulted in a majority of iOS users begging for Google to save the day.
However, when Schmidt was asked about bringing a Google Maps app to iOS, he said that it wasn’t currently being worked on. Then again, according to sources close to the New York Times, that’s not true at all, as we should be seeing a Google Maps app for both the iPhone and the iPad appear by the end of the year.
It’s too bad Google wasn’t as quick to the punch as they were with their new YouTube app. After Apple also pulled their built-in YouTube app from iOS 6, Google was surprisingly quick to deliver their own YouTube app for iOS users to download and enjoy. Hopefully Google is working hard to deliver its Maps to iOS users as we speak.

Halloween is still a month away, but I think it’s never too early to begin stocking up on ideas for awesome and unique costumes. At least this way, you can avoid dressing up as a slutty whatever if you don’t find anything good at the costume rental shop anymore.
But did you ever think of making up an entire costume by using balloons? Yeah, I figured you didn’t too. But the guys from Balloon Distractions did, and they ended up looking pretty awesome.
They came up with Buzz Lightyear and Ninja Turtle costumes that were put together using twisted-up balloons and the results are nothing short of amazing.
Check out Buzz Lightyear, who can really go to infinity and beyond (until someone comes along to pop his balloons):
And here’s a balloony Michaelangelo who likes to yell, just because he can:

Boost Mobile announces the LG Venice: a $220, 4.3-inch handset with Ice Cream Sandwich
Posted in: Today's ChiliIt’s only been a few days since we saw those leaked shots of what was rumored to be Boost Mobile’s own variant of that Optimus L7 — and, well, today the LG handset sees its official debut on the prepaid carrier. The LG Venice, as it’ll be more commonly known around these parts, boasts a 4.3-inch, WVGA screen alongside a 1GHz CPU, a 5-megapixel camera on the rear (VGA quality on the front) and a video mode capable of shooting up to 720p recordings — of course, this is all running LG’s UI 3.0 flavor of Ice Cream Sandwich. As we’ve become accustomed to, Boost Mobile is pricing its new Android handset at a decent price ($220), with the device expected to start hitting “exclusive” shelves on October 10th and other “select” retail shops later the same month.

Element 113: Made in Japan
Posted in: Today's ChiliScientists in the Land of the Rising Sun are laying claim to one of the missing pieces on the periodic table of elements, although the name might be deemed to be unlucky for some – element 113, as it is. The Japanese scientists have discovered Element 113, where it is an atom that has 113 protons in its nucleus, making it a type of matter which at this point in time, must be created within a laboratory setting simply because of one reason – you cannot find it naturally here on earth. There are heavier and heavier synthetic elements created throughout the years though, where at this point in time, the most massive one is element 118, dubbed ununoctium on a temporary basis.
Element 113 did not come by easily though, as it is notorious for being difficult to create, taking years in the process by researchers over at the RIKEN Nishina Center for Accelerator-Based Science in Japan. Well, we are glad to see that their dogged persistence has finally paid off, where on August 12th this year, element 113 in all of its unstable glory was formed, albeit decaying quickly. This still left the team jubilant who declared that they have sufficient data to cite as proof of the accomplishment.
Kosuke Morita, leader of the research group, mention, “For over nine years, we have been searching for data conclusively identifying element 113, and now that at last we have it, it feels like a great weight has been lifted from our shoulders. I would like to thank all the researchers and staff involved in this momentous result, who persevered with the belief that one day 113 would be ours. For our next challenge, we look to the uncharted territory of element 119 and beyond.”
