Avner Geller has created a series of hilarious posters that are inspired by the type of things you always see in someone’s OKCupid profile. Geller based the posters around typical responses to ‘you should message me if…’, ‘on a typical Friday night I’m…’ and ‘six things I could never do without’. More »
Google and Apple do not really have that kind of close relationship all the time, as the dynamics of it tend to cause plenty of tension – somewhat like how Apple and Samsung are bedded together in some weird way, and yet cannot stand the sight of each other. Well, Google Maps and Apple Maps have had their fair share of documentation recently, but when it comes to social networks, Apple does not really have much leverage in that department. The Google+ app has just been updated recently for both Android and iOS platforms, where the iPhone 5 is now supported.
Regardless of the platform where you use Google+ on your mobile device now, you as the manager of a page (or pages) can post and comment on items on the go, while respective versions will also carry features that are unique in their own way. For instance, the Android version has a revamped home screen widget, while folks with Apple devices will see it pick up iOS 6/iPhone 5 compatibility in addition to being able to edit posts, save photos to the camera roll and look up people and posts on the iPad.

There has been plenty of buzz as to whether this coming October 24th, the event that will be held in New York City by Samsung would announce the new Galaxy Note 2 or not. I guess you can put all of those questions to bed for good now, where the formal invitation for the upcoming event has splashed out all the relevant details, with October 24th marking the day where the US would see the formal announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It will be part of the Galaxy Note 2 World Tour, so once that is done and over with, you can start looking out for the relevant mobile carriers to make their very own announcements as to when the Galaxy Note 2 will be made available to the clamoring masses who want a phablet that has a speedy quad-core processor to boot. Here is a quick question for all of you though – would you prefer to settle for the traditional smartphone, or would a phablet be more of the in thing for you at this point in time?

Earlier this morning, we talked about how there was a LG Nexus 4 spotted in a Carphone Warehouse listing, coming in both black and white shades. Well, it seems that a new rumor has pointed towards the viability of the Nexus 4 being launched in just a few weeks’ time. According to French newspaper Le Figaro, they claim that Google has every intention of rolling out the Nexus 4 range this coming October 29th which so happens to fall on the last Monday of the month. Le Figaro continued that France will not be able to get hold of the Nexus 4 hardware until December, but for us folks living Stateside, it looks pretty good that the Nexus 4 will be hitting the US sometime next month.
Of course, who are we to discount the possibility of other hardware manufacturers also stepping forward to make their own announcements of a new Nexus hardware? Right now, it does seem as though LG is taking point with their LG Nexus 4. Which hardware manufacturer would you back when it comes to the Nexus brand name?

Yesterday, Mozilla launched Firefox 16 to much fanfare. A little more than 24 hours later, it pulled the installer from its website, citing a security vulnerability that was identified. According to the notice published by Mozilla, the installer will be available again tomorrow, in addition to the automatic update that will fix the issue for those who have already instead it.
According to Mozilla, the vulnerability could potentially allow a malicious website to pinpoint the websites users have visited, and gain access to the URL or its parameters. Per the notice Mozilla published, the company has received “no indication that this vulnerability is currently being exploited in the wild.” Users who have already downloaded Firefox 16 are encouraged to either rollback to version 15.0.1, or to avoid using the browser until after the fix is released.
Firefox 16 offers several new features, most of which are aimed at developers. One such feature is the Developer Command Line, which provides keyboard control over the Developer Tools. Other features include CSS3 Animations, Image Values, IndexedDB, Transitions, and Transforms.
New features for the average consumer includes VoiceOver support for Mac OS X users and web app support for all three operating system versions of the browser. The Firefox app for Android will include a new reader mode, which allows users to hide browser elements for distraction-free reading. You can check out all the release notes here.
