When I was a kid, I never thought much of the Etch-A-Sketch. But a tool is only as good as the one using it. Did I just insult myself? I think I just praised Jane Labowitch, who calls herself Princess Etch-A-Sketch. And for good reason.

Now that’s Pokémon Black-and-White. Below are her other Pokémon Etch-A-Sketches:

You can say that the cost of living has increased tremendously in just about every part of the world over the years, and having said that, more and more people cannot afford to get a place of their own, but will have to rent a room or a small apartment. Landed property prices have skyrocketed simply because no one makes land any more, and apartments as well as condominiums are not exactly the cheapest living quarters either. In land scarce countries like Japan and Hong Kong, you would be surprised to check out the living areas if you happen to live on a landed property all your life. This means consumer electronics that are released will need to be as compact as possible, and yet deliver the most bang for your buck. Sceptre does good this time around with their 32-inch LED HDTV that boasts of an integrated DVD player to further help you save space in your living room.

Sporting a true 31.5-inch crystal clear viewable area, the Sceptre E325BD-HD will deliver the kind of design and convenience required in smaller living spaces without having to sacrifice on image quality. Sporting a 720P LED display at 1366 × 768 resolution and a true widescreen 16:9 ratio, this bad boy will come with a trio of HDMI ports so that you can hook up a video game console and perhaps your notebook is you need a large secondary display to work with. Forget about connecting a DVD player to this HDTV, as you already have one built-in.

Sceptre claims that the E325BD-HD is so energy efficient, that it has an estimated yearly energy cost of only $11. I am not quite sure just what kind of benchmarks did they use to arrive at such a figure, surviving on an hour of TV a day perhaps? All in all, this puppy measures under 2″ thin, and tips the scales at under 20.3lbs with its stand. Expect to fork out $599 for the E325BD-HD if you are interested.

Advances in unmanned military tools and vehicles have come on leaps and bounds, but, until now, we haven’t seen a weapon firing drone operating in the seas. A recent test taking part offshore near Maryland saw several missiles launched from a new remote-controlled inflatable-hulled ship. While the Navy has used drones before for mine clearing and other defensive tasks, the small boat (similar to that pictured above) is the first experiment to involve true offensive capabilities. The almost zodiac-like craft has been an ongoing project over recent years, and contains a fully automated system which the Navy calls a “Precision Engagement Module” which uses an Mk-49 mounting with a dual missile launcher manufactured by Rafael. The hope is that such vehicles could patrol the coastline, or serve as a first defense against pirates, and other such small, fast-moving seafaring dangers. If you want to catch it in action, head past the break for the video, but don’t be fooled. While it might look like a series of misses, the Navy claims this is just a trick of the camera angle, with all six missiles apparently making contact.

The Verizon-flavored Nokia Lumia 822 hasn’t exactly been camera-shy, nor has it been coy about its imminent arrival, but the details on price and availability have, as yet, not been pinned down. That is until now, according to a tip-off at WPCentral. The candid shot shows the Nokia next to an HTC 8X — both with Verizon livery. The word is that the Lumia 822 will run you $99 at launch, while the HTC 8X will command $199, both with a contract. The same source claims that these will launch on November 8th. Just in time to get that first killer app.
