‘Oprah’s Favorite Things’: Crazy Reactions From Military Spouses (VIDEO)

It had become an annual tradition. A room full of women going absolutely insane as Oprah Winfrey announced, “It’s my favorite things!” “Saturday Night Live” even did a classic skit of the moment, with women going feral and one of them even exploding. Well, just because her talk show is gone doesn’t mean “Oprah’s Favorite Things” is a thing of the past.

The talk show queen brought back the event as a special on OWN. For 2012, she gifted 30 military spouses with a wide variety of items, including an elliptical machine, motorized bicycle and Jessica Simpson shows. The spouses were chosen by their peers — 1.1 million military spouses worldwide — as representatives of their community.

They also represented the legacy of “Oprah’s Favorite Things” very well, giving those classic over-the-top reactions that made the specials so popular for so many years. And, it turns out, the spirit of giving is contagious. Babette Maxwell, the president of the Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year Award® program reported that many of the women are giving to other military spouses, as well as setting up a gift exchange based on the concept of paying it forward.

‘2012 American Music Awards’: Justin Bieber Brings His Mom Onstage, Wins Three Awards (VIDEO)

It was a huge night for Justin Bieber at “The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards” as the pop start took home three awards, including the final one of the night for Artist of the Year. He also won the first award of the night — for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist. Bieber’s third win was for Favorite Pop/Rock Album for “Believe.”

Bieber began the night by commenting on his haters during his first speech. “This is all the haters who thought maybe I was just here for one or two years. I feel like I’m gonna be here for a very long time,” he declared.

For that final award, though, Bieber closed things on a much more uplifting note. Without Selena Gomez by his side throughout the night, Bieber was joined by his mother. He pulled her onstage for that last award and introduced her to the world.

‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’: Kim Zolciak Gets Kicked Out Of Her Dream House (VIDEO)

A major life change for Kim Zolciak unfolded on this week’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She was being kicked out of her dream home. As she was going, though, she determined she was going to get her money back. At least, the $40,000 she said she invested in the landscaping.

“I told Kroy I was rippin’ every last mother f*cking flower out of this house!” she exclaimed. “That I paid for to be planted in this yard will be plucked out!”

Hilariously, as she was going on this tirade, her assistant Sweetie was dilligently taking notes, speaking out loud as she jotted down notes. “Every last mother f*cking flower,” she muttered as she wrote it down.

Mike Ragogna: Jason Mraz’s "93 Million Miles" Video, Plus A Conversation With Andre Williams and Blood Company & TeamWork Team Up

JASON MRAZ’S “93 MILLION MILES” VIDEO

A while back, I interviewed humanitarian Jason Mraz about his latest album, Love Is A Four Letter Word, for The Huffington Post and the project’s simple “93 Million Miles” came up. It’s a fan favorite in addition to being clever, touching, and philosophical as well as mathematically correct. Amidst the progressive songwriter’s list of astral geography and imparted parental wisdom, Jason proposes, “Lookin’ deeper through the telescope, you can see that your home’s inside of you. Just know that wherever you go, you’re never alone, you will always get back home.” You probably can guess what’s 93 million miles away, but check out this sweet video, which was directed here on Earth by Jeff Coffman and recorded during Mraz’s recent appearance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado.

Project Inverted turns a gaming PC inside-out with hand-made casing

Project Inverted turns a gaming PC insideout with handmade casing

While we’ve seen some exotic PC mods in our time, most of those still dutifully stuff all the computer parts into a box, hiding them from the outside world. Martijn Laman isn’t one for that kind of traditionalism. His recently completed Project Inverted, just highlighted by ASUS, puts most of the hardware on the outside: the Sabertooth Z77 motherboard, Core i5 processor, fan cooling, memory, Radeon HD 6870 video card and watercooling pipes all sit in plain sight. Everything is joined by a unique, hand-cut case whose backbone and elevated base hide the custom wiring, the watercooling pump, two solid-state drives and controllers for both fans and lighting. And did we mention the 7-inch touchscreen? The result is a truly special gaming rig that’s relatively quiet and pristine despite baring its heart and soul for all to see. Building a replica won’t be quick, nor will it be cheap at about €1,500 ($1,909), but Laman’s detailed assembly process could well be the inspiration for a few more extroverted PCs.

Rob Gronkowski Injury: Bill Belichick’s Bad Karma Leads To Broken Arm For Gronk, Says Twitter

Merriam-Webster defines “karma” as “the force generated by a person’s actions held in Hinduism and Buddhism to perpetuate transmigration and in its ethical consequences to determine the nature of the person’s next existence.”

The injury to Rob Gronkowski late in the New England Patriots’ blowout win over the Indianapolis Colts had many people throwing this term around. In this case, it wasn’t Gronk’s own actions that were perceived to have resulted in the force that broke his arm. Rather, it was the decision of Patriots coach Bill Belichick to keep his offensive starters on the field deep into the 59-24 rout that had everyone chalking up the injury to bad karma.

As first reported by Comcast SportsNet New England, Gronkowski suffered a broken forearm while blocking for the extra point attempt following the Pats’ eighth touchdown of the game.
