Axe Morning After Pillow Ad Pokes Fun At Cuddling Stereotype (VIDEO)

Even if a 2011 Kinsey Institute report says men like to cuddle as much or more than women, Axe men’s body spray couldn’t resist poking fun at the gender stereotype in its new ad.

The ad features an inflatable Axe Morning After Pillow that women can cuddle so men can slither out of bed and have their freedom. (You know, because if you’re a guy who wears Axe body spray you’re so hot that whoever you’re with won’t let go.)

“Maybe we haven’t warned you about the other side effect when using Axe: cuddling,” the narrator says. “That strange behavior exhibited by every woman who falls under the Axe effect and that lasts all day.”

Valve interested in getting DotA 2 running on tablets

While Baldur’s Gate has made its way from the PC onto tablets, we’re sure that many are wondering what other PC games would make the port from PC to tablet as well. If you’re a fan of Valve’s DotA 2, you might be interested to learn that according to Gabe Newell, it looks like the company is interested in creating a tablet port of DotA 2. Newell did state that Valve has tested DotA 2 on tablets in the past, but found that the hardware of the tablets then wasn’t good enough to support the game, but he also stated that with tablets getting faster by the day, they might be able to get DotA 2 up and running on a tablet that will be able to perform like they intended. No word on when exactly we will see the port, but it certainly sounds like a pretty good idea! A lot of people have tablets these days and getting in a quick game while on the way to work or school sounds like a lot of fun – what do you guys think?

Syria Rebels Use PlayStation Controller To Maneuver Homemade Tank ‘Sham II’ (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

As Syrian rebels continue to grow their weapons arsenal, the opposition forces showed they may not need to raid Syrian military bases to acquire arms. In a newly released video from Russia Today, Syria rebels unveiled a homemade PlayStation-controlled tank named “Sham II” after ancient Syria.

Wired.com explains that he homemade tank, crafted from a car chassis, ressembles a large, rusting metal box more than an official tank, but is outfitted with a turret-mounted 7.62 mm machine gun and five external cameras. Using a PlayStation controller and an LCD screen that shows the external camera footage, a driver can maneuver the tank while another crew member, seated next to the driver, can mobilize the machine gun with a separate controller, the Atlantic wire adds.

The designer, Mahmud Abud of the Al-Ansar rebel brigade in the Aleppo region, told AFP the tank required a month of work.

Medicaid Expansion: States Must Meet Obamacare Standards To Get Full Federal Funding

States must expand Medicaid all the way if they want to receive full Obamacare funding, federal officials said Monday.

The health care reform law enacted in 2010 calls for Medicaid to be offered to anyone who earns up to 133 percent of the federal poverty level, which is $14,856 this year. Under the law, the federal government would pay the full cost of enrolling newly eligible people from 2014 to 2016, after which the share would gradually shrink until it reached 90 percent starting in 2022.

States have been slow to embrace this aspect of Obamacare, despite the unprecedented level of federal financing for Medicaid. Texas, South Dakota, and seven other states have said they won’t expand Medicaid. Officials in Indiana, New Mexico, Wisconsin and other states questioned whether they could offer benefits to fewer people by extending eligibility to some level of income below 133 percent of poverty.

Glenfiddich 55-Year-Old Whisky Up For Auction: Last Bottle Of Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve To Be Sold

How much would you be willing to shell out for a bottle of whisky?

This week, an extremely rare bottle of Glenfiddich single malt scotch will going up for auction in California; and while it’s still anybody’s guess as to how much money it will take to snatch the pale gold beverage off the auction table, it seems likely that tens of thousands of dollars will be needed to clinch the winning bid.

According to Forbes, the bottle of Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve 55-Year-Old will be up for grabs on Tuesday at an “exclusive” auction event in Los Angeles. All proceeds from the charity auction will benefit the World Resources Institute, an environmental think tank.

Is Every Single Tech Ad Making the Same Basic Geometric Mistake?

Custom enclosure designs shove 160 Mac minis into a single rackmount tower

Custom enclosure shoves 160 Mac minis into a single rackmount tower

When the Xserve joined the great server farm in the sky, Mac-minded datacenters everywhere were left without a true rackmountable computer; even the current Mac mini wasn’t designed for those kinds of tight spaces. Enter the purposefully anonymous Steve, who just filled the gap with one of the cleverer solutions we’ve seen yet. He and vendors have developed custom 1U shelving, cooling from car radiators and four-in-one power cables that, combined, fit 160 Mac minis (and a managing Xserve) into one enclosure without cooking the machines to death. With each Mac mini carrying a quad Core i7 and an SSD, Steve now has twice as many cores (640) as an equivalent Xserve cluster despite lower power consumption and a 45-second, network-controlled reboot — all big helps to his unnamed employer’s software development, even with the lack of built-in redundancy for Apple’s tiny desktop. As many gritty details as Steve can share are available at the source.
