Sam Fine Launches Signature Makeup Collection With Fashion Fair Cosmetics (PHOTOS)

It was big news last year when Fashion Fair Cosmetics (FFC), the prestige brand owned by Johnson Publishing Company, tapped celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine to join the company as creative makeup director, extending the opportunity for him to create a signature line of cosmetic products.

We’ve been anxiously waiting for the launch of the collection, which is understandable when you consider Fine’s amazing work with celebrity clients like Iman, Jennifer Hudson, Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks. It’s also exciting to see FFC being revived, since many equate the brand with an older generation (re: mother and grandmother) and some might not even know that it’s still around.

In fact, FFC is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year — and what better way to fete the milestone than rolling out a few highly-anticipated collections? In August, the company launched its first-ever mineral liquid foundation collectionfeaturing an impressive 18 shades — and now the curtain has been lifted on the Sam Fine For Fashion Fair Supreme Color Collection.

Chuck Hagel, John McCain Clash Over Iraq Surge (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON — The debate over the Iraq War was reignited on Thursday when Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) took on Defense Secretary nominee Chuck Hagel for his opposition to the surge of 2007.

McCain and then-Sen. Hagel (R-Neb.) were two of the most prominent voices debating the war at the time, with McCain backing the Bush administration and its neoconservative allies and Hagel part of the growing movement of dissent. And one of McCain’s favorite parts of the Bush strategy was the surge, which sent 20,000 additional troops into Iraq.

On Thursday, McCain attempted to re-litigate whether the surge was the right decision, aggressively pressing Hagel on whether he stands by his past statements. He quoted Hagel as saying in 2007 that the surge was the “most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam.”

Since 2010, a group of Chicago drivers have been quietly challenging the legality of Chicago’s red light camera program in a class action lawsuit.

The Fallout franchise has many unique features – the bottle cap currency, the above average writing, the glitches – but deviantART member Scott aka OrangeRakoon chose to make a funny meta-nod to what I consider to be the Fallout trademark: the green-on-green conversation window.

John Kiriakou, Ex CIA Officer Sentenced To Prison: "It’s Sad To Me That I’m The Only One Going To Prison" (VIDEO)

Former CIA officer John Kiriakou, sentenced last week to 30 months in prison for disclosing classified information to journalists, gave an in-depth interview to HuffPost Live on his upcoming prison term and how he perceives himself as a whistleblower on torture. As part of a deal with federal prosecutors, in October Kiriakou pled guilty to the leak, which revealed the name of a covert CIA officer.

Speaking to hosts Alyona Minkovski and Jacob Soboroff Wednesday, Kiriakou said that he feels “a sense of relief knowing it’s over. But at the same time I’m sickened by the political atmosphere that has surrounded this case.”

Kiriakou is the only individual associated with the ‘enhanced interrogation’ program facing jail time, pointing out that even Jose Rodriguez, who destroyed evidence of torture, was not charged. “It’s ironic and it’s sad to me that I’m the only one going to prison,” said Kiriakou. He went on to say “I consider myself to be a torture whistleblower and am I sad that I spoke out and blew the whistle on torture? Absolutely not. I may have done it differently the second time around, but I’m glad that I did it.”
