Verizon Jetpack 4G Hotspot 5510L Available January 31 For $20

Verizon Jetpack 4G Hotspot 5510L Available January 31 For $20

It was CES 2012 when Verizon announced its Jetpack mobile hotspot which was developed by ZTE to give Verizon customers 4G LTE access wherever they went in the U.S. The Jetpack came with an OLED screen and an interactive keypad to help manage connections as well as view data usage alerts. It looks as though Verizon has announced the successor to the Jetpack, called the Jetpack 4G Mobile Hotspot MiFi 5510L.

The original Jetpack already offered a 4G LTE connection for your data-hungry devices, which is also being offered with the Jetpack 4G. One of the first things you’ll notice is the change in the Jetpack 4G’s design as it’s more hockey-puck shaped than the original Jetpack. Just like the Jetpack, the Jetpack 4G will allow for up to ten mobile devices to connect to it via Wi-Fi.

The Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi 510L will be made available for $19.99 on January 31.

Civil War Confederate Submarine May Have Sunk Itself

During the Civil War, the Confederate Army launched what has been dubbed the world’s first successful attack submarine. The submarine was called the H.L. Hunley and successfully sank the USS Housatonic in February of 1864. Shortly after the submarine signaled a successful mission, it disappeared never to be seen again.

Exactly what happened to the submarine has been a mystery for over 100 years. The submarine was discovered off South Carolina’s Charleston Harbor in 1995, and then raised to the surface in 2000. Researchers have been studying the submarine and believe that they may have found evidence of exactly how the submarine was able to attack and sink the Union Navy ship.

Recent research has shown that the design of the submarine’s torpedo, which held 135 pounds of gunpowder, wasn’t intended to come off a 16-foot spear as previously believed. Previously it was believed that the torpedo was placed against the hull of the ship and then detonated remotely. Now the researchers believe that the submarine was no more than 20 feet from the torpedo when it detonated. The researchers believe that the concussion from the explosion could have injured the crew or perhaps damaged the submarine leading to the death of all onboard.

Sonic the Hedgehog Cartridge Soap Scrubs off the Stench of Eggman

After a hard day of spiraling through loops and collecting rings, it’s time for a good shower. A hedgehog can get pretty dirty running around all those 16-bit landscapes. This Sonic the Hedgehog soap should help. Forget inserting it in your console. Instead, insert it in your armpits and other crevices to get squeaky clean.
sonic soap This one is grape soda scented. Supposedly this soap will make your hands soft, which should help you interact better with your controller. Just don’t try jamming it into your SEGA Genesis unless you want a nasty surprise.

This neat soap shaped was made by Digitalsoaps, and will cost you just $7(USD) – which is actually a little more than a used Sonic the Hedgehog cartridge.

House Majority PAC Video Features House Democrats Singing Its Praises

WASHINGTON — In another sign of the close ties between super PACs and elected officials, seven newly minted Democratic House members appear in a promotional video for a super PAC that helped them win election in 2012.

The online video, released Tuesday by House Majority PAC, features the seven singing the super PAC’s praises for helping to even the playing field for Democrats, who face massive outside spending by conservative organizations like Karl Rove’s Crossroads groups and the Koch brothers’ network of independent nonprofits.

“We were grateful to see House Majority PAC form so we could actually have allies on our side that were helping us get our message out,” Rep. Ami Bera (D-Calif.) says in the video. “That really was, in many ways, the difference in the outcome and one of the big reasons why we won this time.”

Today, we’ve found significant sales on two current-generation Apple toys: More »

Rimac Automobili delivers Concept_Onebased oneoff, refused to pull back the curtain

What’s that intriguing shape poking out from underneath the curtain? Rimac Automobili assures us all via its Facebook account that there’s a Concept_One in there — or, at least, a “one-off car based [on it],” marking the delivery of the company’s much discussed and sometimes questioned 1,088 horsepower electric supercar. So, why the secrecy? According to the company’s namesake executive, Mate Rimac, “the customer wished to control what will be published about the project.” Hopefully the wind will blow away that curtain soon enough.

National Review Writer: ‘God-Given Right’ To Guns, Jesus Would Approve

One of the leading voices of the conservative political movement has published an editorial that argues that gun control legislation seeks to limit Americans’ God-given rights to guns.

In the National Review, David French cites various Bible passages to make his point.

The Old Testament showed that “the morality of self-defense is not only presumed, the act of self-defense is permitted and even mandated by key Biblical figures,” French writes.
