Khloe Kardashian Explains Her Rough ‘X Factor’ Start (VIDEO)

Khloe Kardashian didn’t get off to the best start in the first few weeks of her “X Factor” hosting gig, and Thursday on HuffPost Live she discussed the many factors that contributed to her initial struggles with live TV.

After getting the job only a week before the show’s live premiere, Kardashian quickly found herself feeling like a rookie. “I’ve never done live TV before, and I was asked to not do any hosting lessons because they wanted me to be just myself. I found the day before because the stage was just built, that I couldn’t read the teleprompter without glasses, so I had to get contacts the day before,” she explained.

Live TV presented many new challenges for the veteran reality star. “Just learning how there’s a screaming audience and you don’t yell because the mic is right there … I will have an earpiece in my ear, and while I’m trying to read the teleprompter then I have someone counting down … and they’re like, ‘Okay, ask Simon this or that’ … There were so just so many pieces I never knew were involved in live TV,” Kardashian said.

Sony Teases Something PlayStation Related For The 20th Of February

Wondering what Sony might have in store for us this year? Some say that the company could be launching their PlayStation 4 console, while others might be more interested in Sony’s mobile Android devices. Whatever the case is, it looks like Sony has released a teaser video that has simply been titled, “#PlayStation2013”, with the end of the video revealing a date for the 20th of February. Some have speculated that due to the title and the heavy emphasis of PlayStation in the video that Sony could be unveiling the PlayStation 4 on that date. However it should be noted that the 20th of February falls pretty close to MWC 2013 so it is possible that the company will probably be unveiling something MWC related, such as news regarding PlayStation Certification for Android devices, or for all we know maybe a next-gen Xperia Play (pure speculation here, don’t read too much into it!). Of course there is the possibility that we could be wrong, but either way check back with us on the 20th of February if you’d like to know what Sony has in store for us!

King’s Landing Recreated in Minecraft: Pixels are Coming

I know you can’t wait for the third season of Game of Thrones when it hits at the end of March. Me too. Well, here is something to help tide you over until then. This amazingly detailed Minecraft King’s Landing was created by the people at Westeroscraft – who are gradually recreating the entire domain of Westeros using only Minecraft. And even though it is awesome, it makes me sad because we still have to wait for next season.

I want to watch it now! I’ll just take a deep breath instead, and absorb all of detail of King’s Landing. Just look at all of those buildings, the docks, the countryside. This city is alive – though we all wish King Joffrey wasn’t.

The only thing missing is an immense battle with green wildfire spraying over the ships in Blackwater Bay.

Washington Inmates Rescue 3 Boys From Drowning In Raging Creek

When three brothers fell into Salmon Creek in southwest Washington, inmates working nearby dove into the freezing water to save them, The Columbian reports.

“Just cause we’re incarcerated, doesn’t mean we’re bad people. We made some bad choices in our lives, but we’re still, we’re just like everybody else. We’re just paying our debt for what we did wrong,” Jon Fowler, 28, one of the inmates, told KPTV.

Fowler was part of a 10-person work crew from the prison doing supervised maintenance at a nearby park, the Columbian reports.

Friends Play Tag For 23 Years: Nordstrom CMO Brian Dennehy, Gonzaga Prep School Pals Locked In Elaborate Game

Forget email. This group of 40-something men has a much better way to keep in touch.

For the past 23 years, Brian Dennehy, CMO of Nordstrom, has been playing an elaborate game of tag with nine of his former classmates. According to the Wall Street Journal, the group met at Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane, Wash., where they spent morning breaks darting around campus.

Today, the game remains fundamentally the same — one player is “It” until he tags someone else — but with a few twists. Players can only tag in February, meaning whoever is “It” stays “It” until the next year.
