Court watchers have often been left with their jaws hanging open as testimony is often punctuated by an inordinate amount of detailed sexcapades and bizarre testimony.

The 32-year-old photographer’s guilt or innocence in the brutal slaying of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander remains in limbo, pending the completion of her trial — something that could take at least six more weeks to complete. However, there is no mistaking at this point that the murder defendant — a woman accused of stabbing her ex 27 times, shooting him in the head and slitting his throat from ear to ear — has made some strange statements.

Allegations of 3G patent infringement leaves HTC devices stuck in German customs

HTC is currently fighting a patent infringement battle in a courtroom in Mannheim, Germany. On Friday the legal team for HTC told the judge presiding over the court that some of its shipments into Germany were being held by customs officers at Frankfurt-Hahn airport. HTC says that the shipments were held by customs officer after a company called IPCom applied for the border seizure of HTC 3G-compatible devices.

HTC describes IPCom as a patent monetization entity. HTC’s legal team also pointed out that the same company had failed to have HTC devices seized by police last year at the CeBIT trade show in Hanover, Germany. HTC’s legal team points out these two incidences as examples of IPCom’s attempts to force HTC to accept patent licensing terms.

IPCom acquired portfolio of wireless patents from Robert Bosch GmbH, a company that previously built wireless phones and exited the phone market a decade ago. Most of the patents purchased in that deal were declared essential to cellular telecommunications standards, specifically 3G communications. IPCom continues to maintain that HTC had been unwilling to negotiate for licensing terms.

Interestingly, ITCom has been embroiled in a similar lawsuit with Nokia and has yet to successfully enforce an injunction on any products. Foss Patents reports that dozens of the patents IPCom holds have been ruled invalid as granted meaning that they had to be narrowed through amendments. IPCom has also sued German retailers for continuing to sell HTC devices despite it having sent out cease-and-desist orders to the retailers.

LG Optimus G Pro Heading To North America In Q2 2013

LG Optimus G Pro Heading To North America In Q2 2013Earlier today we reported that LG had officially unveiled the Optimus G Pro, and while the good news is that the device is sporting some pretty impressive specs, what good are those specs if they are only limited to the South Korean market, right? Well the good news is that if you’re living in North America, it seems that LG has also confirmed that the LG Optimus G Pro will be making its way stateside in Q2 2013, although no specific dates have been mentioned. This isn’t surprising considering that different carriers will probably launch the phone at slightly different times, so we guess we will have to wait for the announcements from the individual carriers or LG themselves to ascertain the specific launch dates.

In case you missed our coverage earlier, the LG Optimus G Pro features probably one of the largest displays found on an LG smartphone at 5.5”. It will sport a Full HD IPS display with a stunning resolution of 1920×1080, a quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 2.1MP front-facing camera and will come with an admirable 3,140mAh battery on board with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean preinstalled. Not too shabby, right?

Hilton Hotel Game Could Be The Rarest Sony-Licensed PSP Game Ever Made

We’re sure that everyone has played some sort of simulator in their life, whether it be The Sims, the original Sim City back in the day, Sim Tower (or Tiny Tower ever), and etc. While they are pretty fun games in their own right, have you ever played a hotel sim? If you haven’t, or thought that maybe that sounds like a great idea, it seems that at some point in time, the Hilton group of hotels thought that it would be a good idea if they could create some sort of training program for their employees, except turn it into a video game. However this is not just some random, hastily thrown together video game. Nope. This is actually a PSP game outsourced to a studio, who actually went through the effort to become a licensed PSP developer just so the game could get certified as well as fabricated as a UMD disk!

So basically what we are looking at is actually a valid and very real PSP game, albeit extremely limited because according to RerezTV, only 500 copies were actually made, and in order to run the game, it would require a PSP with a MemoryStick with the necessarily files to play it. As it turns out, RerezTV visited the closest Hilton Garden Hotel and found such a device and managed to play the game which they go through in the video above. As for the game itself, it’s pretty predictable and you play several different roles within a hotel, such as working housekeeping, front desk, F&B, and etc., and you will get scored based on how well you perform. So if you were looking for one of the rarest Sony-licensed games ever created, we think we will have to agree with RerezTV when they say that this could be it.

Raymond J. Learsy: The Keystone XL Pipeline, Terrorism and Our National Security

Among the most salient arguments in defense of the Keystone Pipeline is the perception that the oil originating in Alberta Canada is from a safe and politically reliable source. This in sharp contrast to current U.S. imports of crude oil from the Venezuela of Chavez and the Saudi Arabia of Wahhabi indoctrination, as well as other suppliers from the OPEC cartel.

Canada, of course is not an OPEC cartel member, and the policies of the United States have been generally and positively aligned with those of its Canadian neighbor.

And yet something is astir that can only create concern and diminishes the rationale of the national security argumentation. It appears that the government of the Province of Alberta, the source of the oil to be transported through the Keystone pipeline (the Provincial Governments of Canada have far greater sway than the states in our federal union viz the French speaking Province of Quebec in context to the rest of the English speaking Canadian nation) has extended generous donations to Islamists with close connections to Hamas who are also promulgating the establishment of Sharia law. Organizations recipient of Alberta’s largesse have in turn been linked to charities that had their status revoked by Ottawa for having funded terrorism.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Wii U And 3DS XL Bundles Revealed

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Wii U And 3DS XL Bundles RevealedFans of the Monster Hunter franchise might be interested to learn that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be given the limited edition treatment for both platforms it will be launching on – the Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. The game is set to be released this year, 23rd of March to be exact, and if you are the type that needs or would love to get their hands on the limited edition version of the game, here’s what you can expect. For starters, the Wii U limited edition bundle will come with not just the game itself, but a black 32GB Wii U console and a black Wii U Pro controller, which means that if you already have the Wii U console, we don’t really see much point in this version. The same can be said for 3DS owners since this bundle will come with a 3DS XL in black and will come with the game pre-installed. We’re not sure how much either version will cost, but we expect that it should cost around the same price of either console, except a bit more since the game will be included as well.
