Lady Gaga Visits Terminally Sick Girl In Chicago Despite Canceling Tour Due To Hip Injury (PHOTO)

Lady Gaga may have canceled her tour, but she made one “little monster” — as she lovingly calls her fans — very happy.

Kayleigh Gurbynski, a 5-year-old who has terminal congenital heart disease and Turner’s Syndrome, a genetic disorder, had tickets to meet Lady Gaga at her Chicago concert on Feb. 13, WSAU reports. After the pop star canceled her tour due to a hip injury, the “Born This Way Star” made time to visit Kayleigh who traveled from Wisconsin to see the show, according to the news outlet.

In Virginia Governor’s Race, Super PAC-Candidate Coordination Can Occur Legally

WASHINGTON — The general understanding of super PACs and other outside groups with political goals is that they must operate independently of candidates and that they are legally barred from most coordination with candidates or political parties.

As Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney famously put it in declining to discourage a pro-Romney group’s ads, “Super PACs have to be entirely separate from a campaign and a candidate. I’m not allowed to communicate with a super PAC in any way, shape or form. If we coordinate in any way whatsoever, we go to the big house.”

Beware, Virginia. While federal limits restrict these groups in federal elections, they don’t apply to the state’s marquee gubernatorial contest this year.

NRA Scare Tactics: Things You Must Arm Yourself Against

NRA chief Wayne LaPierre issued a strange warning to Americans in a Daily Caller op-ed Wednesday, suggesting that guns will protect us against everything from terrorism to natural disasters. It’s not the first time he has used fact-free scare tactics to encourage people to join the NRA and arm themselves.

Here are some problems that can be solved by gun culture, according to the NRA:

1. School violence — In the wake of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, LaPierre said that putting more guns in schools is the “one thing” that could prevent future tragedies.

‘KillSwitch’ App Deletes Traces Of Your Ex From Facebook

These days, the digital trail of a relationship is a long one. There are emails, Gchats, text messages and, of course, the rampant evidence on Facebook. But what happens when that sweet romance turns sour?

KillSwitch, a new app launched on Valentine’s Day, is looking to make breakups “suck less” by surreptitiously deleting any Facebook history of your ex from your timeline.

“We have one friend, love her to death, she’s been very unlucky in love,” Clara de Soto, a co-creator of the app who works for Clearhart Digital, told The Huffington Post on Thursday. “Every time that she would break up with a boyfriend, she would deactivate her Facebook account. And when she’d finally muster up the courage to reactivate it, it was like navigating this minefield of these shards of her last relationship, pictures of when she was happy and in love.”

Mayor Bloomberg aims to ease range anxiety in NYC with 10K EV charging points by 2019

DNP NYC EV

Most electric vehicle news as of late has been focused on the Telsa Motors vs the New York Times situation, but lest we forgot it’s not all about Model S sedans and Superchargers. Giving his State of the City 2013 address for New York, Mayor Bloomberg let loose some exciting prospects for the EV faithful. As SlashGear notes, the city aims to expand beyond its 220 charging points (100 of which are public) to a whopping 10,000 (including 30 more for the city government) by 2019, while hoping to have landlords make 20-percent of all parking friendly to EVs. Beyond that, the city will test the viability of two quick-chargers that would allow some vehicles to juice up in about 30 minutes. Whether the city ultimately approves the lofty plans it their current form will remain to be seen, but, at the very least, we’ll be glad to have more in place for decreasing range anxiety near the Big Apple. You can watch the full recording of the address by heading past the break.
