iVillage released the results of its 2013 Married Sex Survey on Monday, and the findings may surprise you. Married men and women dished on all the detailes of their sex lives, including their greatest desires, number of partners, who they’d cheat with, and more. The zombie apocalypse hasn’t happened yet, but a few thousand people in Great Falls, Mont., are to be forgiven if they thought it was.
On Monday, the emergency alert system at KRTV-TV in Great Falls was hacked during the “The Steve Wilkos Show” to send out a message that “dead bodies are rising from their graves” in several counties.
The warning also told those watching not to try and apprehend the dangerous individuals, only to get to shelter and stay safe, Gizmodo.au reported.

Nike’s always been tight with Apple, as its Nike+ platform has gotten along with iPods and iPhones for years, and the cooperation continued with an iOS app for the FuelBand. Given the number of Android users out there, many figured the Swoosh would also release a ‘droid friendly version, but it turns out those expectations will remain unfulfilled… for now. Nike Support’s Twitter account confirmed as much today, saying its devs are focused on iOS and web and are not working on an Android app. Why no love for the little green ‘bots? Well, Nike had this to say:
To deliver the best experience for all Nike+ FuelBand users, we are focusing on the FuelBand experience across iOS and nikeplus.com, where you can sync your activity, set new goals, and connect with friends. At this time, we are not working on an Android version of the mobile app.
When we asked if it’s shelving its Android efforts permanently, the company informed us that it was not — meaning we may see such an app at some undisclosed time in the future. So, hope springs eternal for all you FuelBand users with Googlefied phones.

Ready to have your brain blasted to bits? U-Tsu-Shi-O-Mi is a “virtual assistant” that is actually a green-clad humanoid robot. Users look at her using virtual reality goggles and instead of seeing a mildly creepy, ninja-like blog they see an actual face and body. You can reach out, touch the body, and even shake hands with your robotic pal.
Made by a Japanese company called Different Dimension Inc., the robot uses a program called MMDAgent to interact with users. An initial prototype looked like a ‘tween in footie pajamas and a full-face hood. The newest version consists of half of a body and a much smaller profile. The pre-order price will be about $5,000.
Unfortunately the system still requires a VR headset and some solid computing power. However, because the entire package is so compact, you could imagine approaching a little green figure while wearing smaller VR glasses and interacting without much fuss. Interacting with a tiny green figure is obviously quite creepy – especially if passers-by don’t know what’s up – but what did Clarke say about technology and magic?

Whatever hoops the Linux Foundation had to waddle through to get an MS-signed bootloader for use on Windows 8 hardware, it appears to have worked. Whereas Ubuntu and Fedora already had UEFI Secure Boot support, and there was the Shim bootloader and other fixes for smaller distros, this official solution promises to be more user friendly and universal, albeit with a few caveats that are described by MJG59 at the link below. Some of you may have thought that the (non) news about the U.S. government wisely turning down a petition to use its resources to build a Death Star had reached its conclusion with the Death Star fundraiser. Apparently this space cow has not been Force Milked dry just yet, because now someone’s asking for money to build a fleet of X-Wing fighters.
The representatives of the Rebel Alliance analyzed their enemy’s plans and have set up several effective countermeasures. For instance, they are merely asking for $11,000,000, way less than the $31.4M target fund for the Death Star. And whereas the Sith supporters only had a drawing of a circle – albeit, a well drawn one – as their initial design, the Rebel Alliance used the power of the Force Google and posted this on their project page:
If that’s not enough to persuade you to donate to the light side, the Rebels have also indicated a desire to build a heavily modified YT-1300 Freighter:
The Rebels are also offering lightsaber construction classes to people who pledge $5,000 and a Jedi training camp to rich padawans who can pledge at least $10,000. I say we start a Kickstarter to help start an organization that prevents people from using Kickstarter for their jokes. Then let’s start another one that calls that other Kickstarter a buzzkill. Plot twist: we’ll only ask for $500 for each fundraiser, then we’ll split the cash and vanish. Jokes on you, backers!
