Tablets have become very popular since Apple’s initial unveiling of the iPad, and since then many manufacturers have introduced their own versions, usually running Android. Last year, Microsoft added its own Windows based Surface RT tablet into the mix, but all of those tablets have been running lower powered processors, unable to run full PC software. The Surface Pro however changes all of this.
Where was Sandboxr when we were kids? Instead of dragging our parents around on a hunt for the perfect figurine, we could have used the company’s new web app to easily manipulate a virtual model and get a 3D printed statuette in the exact pose we wanted. There’s compensation for the lost opportunities of our childhood, however. The creation tool allows for customized accessories, scenes and sizing, and it’s expected to have reasonable prices of about $12 for a 2.5-inch character and over $20 for a 3.5-inch version. The best news may simply be the likelihood of a figurine existing in the first place — Sandboxr sees itself as a platform for everyone from 3D animators through to game developers and dedicated toy companies, many of which can use existing 3D models to start a collectible line. The printing service is currently invitation-only and plans a Kickstarter fundraising drive to scale larger, but it’s easy to see an end to the days of limited edition figurines — much to the delight of our inner child.

According to an SEC filing, Google‘s Eric Schmidt will be selling about 42-percent of his stake in the company, for a total of 3.2 million Class A shares. The sale will take place throughout 2013 in order to avoid a large impact on the market. The former CEO is reported as having a total of about 7.6 million Class A and Class B common stock shares.
Per Google, this move will give the former CEO “individual asset diversification and liquidity.” The sum total of Schmidt’s shares account for 2.3-percent of Google’s stock, which closed high today at $785.37. This follows his previous sale of approximately 1.8 million shares in 2012, reports The Wall Street Journal.
Once the shares are sold, Schmidt will then own 1.3-percent of Google, a fall from 2012′s 2.3-percent, giving him 5-percent voting power in the company. These sales are following his departure from Google as CEO in early 2011, when he became executive chairman instead. The timing is good, market-wise, with the search engine giant’s shares having increased substantially last year.
Schmidt has been a big force in Google, responsible for quite a bit of its growth during his time there. No word has been given on why he is selling his shares, aside from the statement from Google regarding diversification and liquidity. A Google spokesperson has declined commenting on the situation, so all we know for now is what the filing shows.

Fittingly, The Pirate Bay documentary TPB AFK (which stands for The Pirate Bay—Away From Keyboard) is available to watch online for free. It’s not piracy though! The filmmakers put it on YouTube, made it available on The Pirate Bay for torrenters and has offered it as a digital download too. Makes total sense, right? You can watch the entire thing right here. During this year’s Super Bowl, one of the most controversial commercials to air had to have been Go Daddy’s which featured Bar Rafaeli sucking face with a rather unattractive nerd named Walter, played by Jesse Heiman. The commercial became controversial as a good majority of people found the kiss to be rather disturbing, although we didn’t see anything wrong with the kiss.
