Wikipad gaming tablet hits the market

Ah, to be a child again. They say that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, so what better way to ensure that Jack does not end up being dull than by indulging in a little bit of games? This is what the Wikipad tablet does, running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, and not not slouching when it comes to the kind of hardware required in order to get the latest games up and running. In fact, Wikipad is touted to be the first 7” tablet of its kind that will deliver what it claims to be an unrivaled gaming experience of a console, although you do get to enjoy the portability of a handheld device with the functionality of a premium tablet, which is all made possible courtesy of its unique attachable game controller. The asking price for the Wikipad? A mere $249, which clearly makes it an extremely attractive proposition.

Fraser Townley, President of Sales, Wikipad, Inc., said, “We wanted to get Wikipad into our community’s hands and what we found was that the smaller 7” form factor just seemed right. The smaller frame delivers an aggressive price while keeping the same amazing specs.”

Well, just what kind of hardware does the 7” Wikipad pack underneath the hood? Apart from its award winning attachable dual-analog controller on the outside, you will find a premium 7″ IPS touchscreen display that will be accompanied by 16GB of internal memory alongside a microSD memory card slot just in case all of that space is not enough for you to tote around your favorite movies and songs. Crammed within its ultra-light and thin chassis would also be the venerable NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor that has been specially optimized for cloud gaming, and with an aspect ratio of 16:10, you can be sure that the Wikipad tablet will deliver true widescreen HD display.

Those who decide to pick up the Wikipad will not come up short where games and apps are concerned, as you will be able to have access to entertainment and videogame content from differnt partners and services such as PlayStation Mobile, Big Fish Games, TegraZone – NVIDIA’s free app, Google Play, and OnLive among many others. When the gamepad controller remains detached, the Wikipad would make for an above average tablet, wherever you are. Any takers?

Los Angeles Travel: The City Of Angels On A Heavenly Budget

LOS ANGELES (AP) — It’s been called, sometimes derisively, a collection of 72 suburbs in search of a city.

Still, there’s a lot of stuff to see and do inside those 72 suburbs that are said to comprise Los Angeles, a place that at 469 square miles (2,214 square kilometers) is big enough to hold all of New York’s five boroughs with enough room left over for San Francisco.

Much of what’s here is ridiculously expensive, of course. Think the fancy eateries along La Cienega Boulevard or the trendy bottle-service clubs in Hollywood and elsewhere. But at the same time, there is an impressive array of just really cool things to see and do for absolutely nothing, from Hollywood to the beach.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate’s Multiplayer Will Be Region Locked

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimates Multiplayer Will Be Region LockedIf you’re planning on picking up Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and playing them with your friends overseas, prepare to be disappointed as Capcom has since confirmed that the game will feature region locked multiplayer servers. As expected many gamers responded to the statement negatively, expressing their disappointment and frustration at Capcom’s decision. Capcom has not provided a reason why the servers will be region locked, but based on reasons other developers have given in the past, one of the reasons developers region lock could be due to possible lag or server overload. For example gamers in Asia would probably prefer a server located in Asia due to proximity which could reduce lag versus playing on a European or American server.

There are also issues of language barrier where players speaking different languages could end up getting pretty messy and confusing (imagine gamers typing out in Mandarin, Korea, Japanese, English, Russian at the same time). However this is ultimately the player’s decision as to which server they want to play on, and obviously if they find that the lag is unbearable they can always have the option of switching back, but with region locking this will not be possible. Either way hopefully Capcom will come forward with a reason regarding their decision, but in the meantime what do you guys think? Are you bummed that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be region locked for multiplayer?

‘Two And A Half Men’: Jaime Pressly Is Jake’s New Girlfriend, And He Wants To Marry Her (VIDEO)

Jake dropped by for a visit on “Two and a Half Men” and he brought along his new girlfriend Tammy, played by Jaime Pressly. Sure, Tammy was twice his age, already had three kids and was covered with tattoos, she was also a business owner — a tattoo shop, naturally — and seemed pretty smart, to boot. So why was she with Jake?

The two were clearly on very different pages, though. While Tammy managed to convince Alan that she was only looking for something light and fun for now, Jake told Walden that he was going to propose to Tammy in hopes they could run off and elope.

The whole thing was super-stressful for Alan, but it did allow Berta to make a very specific joke. “Could be worse. He could be one of those showbiz kids that goes off the rails,” she said.

Possible Samsung Galaxy S4 Camera Images Spotted On Google+

Possible Samsung Galaxy S4 Camera Images Spotted On Google+It has been speculated that perhaps the Samsung Galaxy S4 for AT&T could be going by the model number SGH-i337, and assuming that is true, it looks like we might be looking at some camera image samples from the Galaxy S4 (pictured above). The photos were uploaded onto Google+ by a certain Hyunsuk Park, but at this time of posting the photos have since been taken down, leading us to speculate that perhaps there might be some merit to these photos after all.

According to the EXIF data, the photos were snapped by a SGH-i337 and were snapped at a lower resolution, so at this point in time we cannot confirm the rumors of the Galaxy S4 featuring a 13MP camera. The EXIF data also revealed the camera’s aperture at f/2.2 which should make it pretty decent in low light situations, although we’ll probably have to test it ourselves just to be sure. In any case as you can see, the photo is rather blurry so it’s hard to judge the quality or capabilities of the Galaxy S4 just yet, but in the meantime we guess this will have to do.

Steve Wozniak Thinks Apple Is Behind On Smartphones

Steve Wozniak Thinks Apple Is Behind On SmartphonesIt is common knowledge that despite having cofounded Apple with Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak has spoken up several times in the past revealing his preference of other platforms besides iOS, Windows Phone for example, which is why we guess it’s not surprising that in an interview with German business weekly, Wirtschafts Woche, Wozniak gave his opinion that he thought that when it came to the iPhone, he felt that Apple was “somewhat behind with features in the smartphone business,” and even went as far as acknowledging that Samsung is a great competitor because they are currently “making great products”.

The last bit can be subjective, but to a certain degree that is true especially when you think about how Samsung was first on the scene with the phablet (although we guess it started with the Galaxy Tab which could make voice calls when paired with a Bluetooth headset), and despite many calling it a novelty (we were guilty of that), it went on to do quite well for itself, spawning the Galaxy Note 2 and inspiring competitors to do the same (LG Optimus Vu, HTC Butterfly, Sony Xperia Z, etc.). Unfortunately it was not clear as to how exactly Wozniak thought that Apple was behind in the smartphone business, but what do you guys think?

iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 Rumored For 2013 Launch

iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 Rumored For 2013 LaunchSome of you guys might have heard that Apple could be set to launch an iPhone 5S and an iPhone (with the latter supposedly featuring a 5” display). Apart from the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 6 does not really make sense as this does not fall with Apple’s tradition of releasing one smartphone a year, but then again with Apple currently under the leadership of Tim Cook, perhaps things are starting to change and with the competition getting fiercer, we wouldn’t be surprised if Cook decided that breaking tradition might not be such a bad idea after all.

With that being said, assuming these rumors are true, when exactly will these alleged iDevices launch? According to a translated report from the Chinese media (via Brightwire), word on the street has it that the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 are set to launch later this year. Like we said earlier, the launch of the iPhone 5S would not be surprising, but two smartphones in a year would. The report goes on to claim that the iPhone 5S resembles the iPhone 5, although we expect that the changes would probably be under the hood,  while the iPhone 6 is both lighter and thinner, rather interesting considering it has a larger display (or so they say). We will take this with a grain of salt for now and suggest you do the same, but what do you guys think of a 5” iPhone?
