AT&T expands Digital Life launch to 15 markets

AT&T is nearly doubling the markets its new Digital Life service will be launching in. AT&T’s Digital Life is a state of the art home security system that lets you automate several aspects of your home via a PC, tablet, or smartphone. Initially, there were only plans of launching the Digital Life service in 8 markets, but AT&T decided to take it to the next level and make the service available in 15 markets.

ATT expands digital life to 15 markets

With Digital Life, your home will have the highest-end security system available. You will be able to choose from a variety of security services, like window sensors, glass break detectors, water and gas leak detectors, wirelessly-controlled door locks, video cameras, and more. You will be alerted if there is any strange activity happening in your home, and where the activity is taking place. If an intruder breaks into your home while you’re away, Digital Life will turn on all of the lights, sound a 90 db siren, and send an alert to both you and the police.

But Digital Life isn’t just a home security system. It can also be used to “smartly” control the wired/wirelessly-connected devices in your home. You can turn on light sources in various parts of your home, adjust the thermostat, lock or unlock doors (assuming you purchased the wirelessly-controlled locks), and more all straight from your computer or wireless device. So if it’s time to sleep, you can automatically turn off all of the lights and lock all of the doors from the comfort of your bed.

AT&T’s Digital Life is set to launch very soon (since the launch date is set for the “beginning of Spring”) in various markets across the nation. While the service will initially launch in 15 markets, AT&T hopes to expand it to up to 50 markets by the end of this year. AT&T hasn’t released a pricing system for the service, however if you’re interested, you can sign up for information notifications via AT&T’s Digital Life support page.

10 Banks Foreclosing on the Most Homes: 24/7 Wall St.

24/7 Wall St.:

The housing market is clearly improving. According to the National Association of Realtors, existing home sales have risen and distressed mortgages account for a smaller part of those sales. Close to a million home loans in the United States were in some stage of the foreclosure process in early 2011. More than half a decade after the start of the housing crisis, that number has started to decline, but there were still nearly 750,000 homes in the foreclosure process as of last month.

A small number of banks serviced or acted as trustee in the vast majority of the mortgages in foreclosure — and it is the same banks that now find themselves having to deal with those mortgages and deflated property values. As of February, Bank of America was servicing more than 95,000 loans in foreclosure, followed by Wells Fargo, which was servicing 85,000 loans. Based on RealtyTrac’s February 2013 data, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed the 10 banks foreclosing the most homes.

NCAA Tournament 2013: From A-10 To The Zags, Everything You Need To Know About The Round Of 64

Between the First Four and the two first full days of wall-to-wall NCAA Tournament action, 36 games have been played. Thirty-six teams have been sent home. Thirty-two teams have advanced. Although no game has been won on a buzzer beater (although Vander Blue came closest), several were won by teams that no one expected to succeed. From A-Z, here is a rundown of everything you need to know about the madness of March (so far):

Atlantic 10: President Obama believed that the Big Ten was the strongest conference during the year. The selection committee granted the most bids to the Big East. Once the ball was thrown up, however, it was the A-10 that stole the show. Highlighted by No. 13 La Salle’s upset win over No. 4 Kansas State (coming after a First Four win), the Atlantic 10 has gone 6-0. VCU and Saint Louis dominated. Temple and Butler are moving on. As Mike Lopresti of USA Today Sports calculated, the round of 32 will be 15.6% A-10 teams.

Bracket: Through April 8th, everything will be a bracket. Food is a bracket. Curse words are a bracket. Hate is a bracket. Most importantly, the NCAA Tournament is a bracket. Did you fill yours out? Did you have Harvard and Florida Gulf Coast advancing? Do you need to print a new one after early upsets forced you to shred it. If so, then click here.

Ti Chang’s Crave Creates Wearable Sex Toys Called ‘Foreplay Jewelry’

Just when you thought sex couldn’t permeate our daily lives any more, a fashion-forward designer has come out with a line of jewelry that doubles as sex toys.

Think that’s a regular old necklace? It also converts into vibrating nipple clamps. And that double black leather bracelet becomes handcuffs in the bedroom.

Ti Chang is the brains behind what she calls “foreplay jewelry.” Her San-Francisco-based start-up, Crave, launched last month, billing itself as a manufacturer of wearable erotic accessories that are “discreet and luxurious.”

Jake Tapper’s ‘The Lead’ Debuts To Lower Ratings Than CNN Predecessor

“The face of the new CNN” debuted with rocky ratings during his first week.

“The Lead,” the new show anchored by Jake Tapper, premiered with huge expectations on Monday. New CNN chief Jeff Zucker hailed Tapper as one of the key assets in his reinvention of the network.

In its first four days, though, Tapper’s show struggled to maintain the ratings from its predecessor, “The Situation Room.” Tapper came in third from Monday through Thursday, with his first show drawing 400,000 viewers. As the Hollywood Reporter noted, it averaged a 50 percent drop from “The Situation Room” in the coveted A25-54 demo, as well as a 42 percent drop in total viewers.
