Now that everyone is playing Bioshock Infinite, it’s a good time to buy some interesting Bioshock collectibles – like this rare, functional BioShock audio diary that is currently for sale on eBay.
According to gameshirts702, the seller, there are only four of these in existence. All were created as part of a viral marketing campaign for the release of BioShock 2. You can see this rarity in action in the video clip below:
Why would the seller ever part with something as cool as this? He has hit some hard times financially and hopes that this sale will help. The auction is up to $2,600(USD) as of this writing and I’m sure it will go higher. It’s a super nice piece of video gaming history. Get your bid in before March 31st when it ends.

Elon Musk discussed the design layout of SpaceX’s next version of the Dragon spacecraft and it’s definitely going to attract stares. The second version of Dragon will be designed to land on the ground rather than in the water like its predecessor. Because of all of the design changes, Musk states that the next SpaceX Dragon spacecraft will look “like a real alien spaceship”.
Musk told reporters that SpaceX Dragon part 2 will have big windows so astronauts are able to have a better view, and that there will be side-mounted thruster pods on the capsule. He also said that there will be legs on the bottom of the capsule that will pop out for “land touchdowns”. He wants the capsule to be able to land on the ground instead of in the water. He states that he plans on unveiling the new design sometime later this year.
Musk also spoke with reporters yesterday about the SpaceX Dragon space capsule and the successful completion of its second cargo mission to the International Space Station. The SpaceX Dragon returned to Earth on March 26th, and made a safe splashdown onto the Pacific Ocean, around 214 miles off the coast of Baja California. The capsule brought back with it 2668 pounds of science samples and equipment.
SpaceX is also upgrading its Falcon 9 rocket. The rocket will be modified to be much more efficient. The new upgrades will improve its capacity by up to 60-70%. The rocket will also be equipped with more powerful thrusters that offer a 60% improvement over the old thrusters and will have retractable legs that will pop out and allow it to make landings on ground instead of the water. These new upgrades are speculated to be finished by the end of 2014. On another note, later on this year, SpaceX will start testing water landings for the Falcon 9 first stage. The water landings will provide SpaceX with the data and experience it needs to work on ground landings for the Falcon 9 first stage in the future.

With summer right around the corner, thoughts start turning toward plans to get out into the world — to travel, to commune with nature, to leave the working-world behind — even if it is only as far as the backyard. Disposable paper plates are wasteful. Unfortunately, they’re one of the few options if you’re having a picnic or hosting an outdoor meal for various reasons. Re-using them doesn’t seem like a very hygienic or practical thing to do, since most get soiled pretty badly after one use anyway.
An upgrade to the conventional paper plate comes in the form of the Plate-Oh!
It’s basically a paper plate with ten disposable layers pressed on top of it. So instead of throwing the plate away after using it once, you’ll simply have to peel the soiled, topmost layer off by lifting the corner of that layer and pulling gently. Dispose of that layer, and voila! You’ve got a clean paper plate to use for the next party!
The Plate-Oh! concept was designed by Sahar Madanat Haddad, and there are no immediate plans to commercialize the Plate-Oh!

Just a couple days after we got our hands on Tenya Wanya Teen‘s crazy 16-button arcade stick, we were treated to its polar opposite; Divekick‘s two-button controller. Created by Iron Galaxy Studios just to show off the game at PAX East, the controller consists of two buttons slightly larger than the palms of our hands; the yellow one denotes a jump or dive, while the blue corresponds to a kick. As a parody of the fighting genre, Divekick‘s gameplay avoids complicated combo moves, is incredibly simple and immensely enjoyable, if we do say so ourselves.
Unlike traditional fighting games, the health bars are essentially meaningless, as a single power hit can take down your rival. Therefore you’re focused on just the most basic movements — a common one involves jumping in the air, tapping the other button for the downward kick, and then tapping it again to fly backwards. As for moving your character about, a jump and kick combo will get you charging towards your foe. Some characters let you fly when jumping, while others reward pressing buttons simultaneously. From our few minutes mashing the controller, it seems that timing and position are more important than ever with such fundamental mechanics, and ones that we picked up pretty quickly. We especially enjoyed kicking our adversary in the head to make them dazed and vulnerable in the early seconds of the next round.
