Hidden inside the Accessibility settings of iOS 7 is a sneaky new way to control your iPhone (or iPad): with your head. Yep, with simple left or right head movements you can navigate your iPhone. You’ll look a little bit crazy but ooh wow look at you control your iPhone invisibly.

SHANGHAI, China — Fancy a portable projector that you can bring anywhere in your pocket? SK Telecoms’ Smart Beam projector may be just the device you are looking for.
Measuring 4.5cm (1.77 inches), the wide, cube-shaped beamer fit nicely in my palm. Weighing just 126g (4.4 ounces), it’s as light as most mobile phones. The Smart Beam supports the MHL connectivity interface, and you can use any smartphone that supports this standard to connect to the pico projector.
Other key specifications include a battery life of 120 minutes, VGA native resolution, and 35 lumens of brightness via the DLP DMD projection system. While SK Telecom claims it’s the brightest for its size, I’d add that you may still have to use this in a darkened room.
Retailing at around $300, the Smart Beam is already available in South Korea and will be heading to China.

The FingerQ PrivacQ Case for the Samsung Galaxy S3 adds a fingerprint sensor to the phone.

SHANGHAI, China — FingerQ, a company based in Hong Kong, has made a series of Android cases that come with biometric fingerprint sensors for added security. The sensors don’t replace the built-in security features of your Android phone (unlocking your smartphone still uses the passcode or pattern unlock), but adds another layer of protection for chats and applications.
The FingerQ system will be available as an accessory called the PrivacQ case and caters to phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, and Note 2, as well as the HTC One. The fingerprint sensor is just one part of the equation, as the company’s software also needs to be installed on the handset for the system to work.
Messages and images sent securely cannot be seen unless the receiving party swipes an enrolled finger.

Every once and a while we need a reminder to be more awesome by doing more awesome. Jump off a cliff. Sky dive. Race a plane. Ride a bike. Surf. Anything. When you attach a GoPro to your head and put a thumping electronic beat as your soundtrack, life will always seem so awesome.

Sony may have called an audible on the robotic eyeball accessory of its upcoming PlayStation 4 console, according to a new report.
Citing sources, IGN says Sony originally intended to include the $59 camera accessory inside a $499 launch system bundle, but changed plans at the last moment by removing it in favor of trimming everything down to $399. All to beat out Microsoft’s Xbox One and its mandatory Kinect accessory with its $499 price tag, IGN’s sources said.
Sony did not respond to a CNET request for comment on the report. We will update this story when we have more information.

I gripped the handset, twirling the coiled wire around my wrist, listening for a ring tone. Instead, a busy signal triggered an autonomous twitch reaction in my teenage hand: hang up, wait for dial tone, hit redial, listen for ring tone. Again. Again.
