Vibration Alarm Dress Watch

Are you the kind that wears watches to tell the time, or you have become part of the 21st century office workforce who has no need for a watch other than to accessorize your dressing, considering how just about every single digital device out there comes with a built-in clock function? Well, if you still think more traditionally and want to add a new watch to your collection, how about checking out the $149.95 Vibration Alarm Dress Watch? This particular timepiece will be different from most of the vibrating alarm watches out there which tend to carry a sporty design, as it sports an elegant look instead.

We are talking about a gleaming stainless steel case, art deco details, and rose-colored gold tone analog hands, ensuring you look your best no matter the occasion. Not only that, you are able to seht the Vibration Alarm Dress Watch with up to five different alarms in order to wake you up – all without waking the others, since it gets the job done via vibration. There is a large LCD display located right below the dial which will digitally display the alarm settings. Each time the alarm goes off, the watch will pulse with half a dozen two-second vibrations which should be vigorous enough to wake you up, all without annoying anyone else. I sure hope it comes with a snooze function!

APARECIDA, Brazil — Pope Francis is urging the faithful to resist the “ephemeral idols” of money, power and pleasure during a pilgrimage to one of the most important shrines in Latin America and one of great meaning for him personally.

Francis is in Aparecida to celebrate the first public Mass of his trip to Brazil and to pray before the statue of Our Lady of Aparecida, Brazil’s patron saint. His eyes welled up with emotion as he stood silently in deep prayer before the tiny dark-skinned statue.

Lit Mag Submission Tips: 4 Ways To Get Them To Say ‘YES’ To Your Essay

From Writer’s Relief staff:

The personal essay is more than a diary entry for the masses. You probably don’t want people to read your journal as is, but chances are, having a literary magazine say that they want to publish your feelings, opinions, and observations sounds pretty darn good. The trick is to move past the egocentric style of a journal entry to create a narrative tale others can relate to. Here are four tips that we have found successful in getting editors to say, “Yes!” to your submission.

Brevity and precision. In these modern days, people have a tough time focusing their attention for too long. We get involved with something and then a TV show comes on, or you get sidetracked by a message on your computer, or…you have a wicked hangnail that needs to be picked. Your personal essay should be under 3,500 words—and we state this adamantly. This is, apparently, the absolute most attention that the modern human can give to a piece of writing (man, we’re lazy sometimes). Though you may want to ramble on about conflict in the Middle East, or your addiction to gummy bears, it is better to establish your goal and get to it quickly. The shorter the work, the more focused your presentation. Thus, the better you keep the readers’ interest. Now, put down that gummy bear.

First real world ‘master key’ exploit discovered sneaking malware into Android apps

Image

Two apps have been discovered on unofficial marketplaces in China that might just be the first in-the-wild exploits of the massive bug found by Bluebox two weeks ago. The so-called “master key” vulnerability, or a least an extremely close relative of it, was the point of entry for malware in these two apps, which now carry code that allows an attacker to remotely hijack a device, harvest sensitive data and even disable a number of mobile security suites. The concern here, is that this particular security hole allowed these alterations to be made without invalidating the apps’ digital signatures. So, the malware was able to sneak through filters, hidden as a Trojan Horse inside pieces of legitimate software. Google has already patched the vulnerability, preventing compromised apps from slipping in to the official Play store. Additional updates addressing the flaw have been issued to carriers and manufacturers, but we all know it could be quite sometime before everyone applies the patches to their products.
