Forget Comic-Con, superhero central is in Indiana

This might be the world's first-ever Superman toy, created in 1940, just two years after the Man of Steel made his first appearance. The toy, and thousands of other collectibles are on display at the Hall of Heroes Superhero Museum in Elkart, Ind.

ELKHART, Ind. — Comic-Con in San Diego? Who needs it? I’ve got the Hall of Heroes Superhero Museum.

Even as tens of thousands of people were descending on San Diego for Comic-Con this week, I took another path to superhero nirvana, stopping in on Road Trip 2013 at what is probably the best comic book and superhero museum in the world.

Fuloon Car Travel Inflatable Bed turns your back seat into a comfy sleeping space

Have you ever been driving somewhere far from home, and needed to take a nap? Obviously, driving while you’re tired isn’t a great idea, so you’ll want to stop and grab a few z’s. The real question is where to do it. Do you find a friend that’s nearby? Rent a hotel room? Sleep in the car? The last option is the most likely one, as it’s free, and means you don’t have to do any additional driving. So what can you do to maximize your comfort while sleeping in a car? Turn your back seat into a bed, of course.

The Fuloon Car Travel Inflatable Bed will ensure that no matter where you drive, you’ve got a bed (so long as you have a back seat, that is). This inflatable bed comes with its own air pump, and in just a short time will not only give you a flat surface to sleep on, but it will fill the areas between the front and back seats, to give you more room to curl up while you nap.

Since it’s inflatable, it won’t take up much room when not in use. You should be able to easily stow it in the trunk, or even under a seat. It will set you back $129, so unless you plan on sleeping in your car pretty frequently, it might not be the most economical solution to your occasional road trip naps.

Analyst Believes PS4 And Xbox One Will “Revitalize” The Games Market

While mobile gaming is definitely not something developers and publishers should snub, especially given how freemium games like Candy Crush are pulling in $633,000 a day from in-app purchases, it does not mean that more traditional forms of gaming, such […]

Samsung announces 3,000 MB/s enterprise SSD, shames competition

Samsung announces 3,000 MB/s enterprise SSD, shames competition

The ink has barely dried on Samsung’s last SSD announcement and the South Korean manufacturer has already made it obsolete by orders of magnitude. This 2.5-inch enterprise-class SSD isn’t for us regular Joes, but if you thought the company’s EVO 840’s 540 MB/s was zippy, hold on to your desk chair. The newly announced NVMe SSD XS1715 reads data at a mind-numbing 3,000 MB/s. Hitting these absurd numbers isn’t without a caveat, though, as this SSD won’t run on a SATA-6 port — it requires a PCIe hookup. When these speed demons do arrive, they’ll be available in 400GB, 800GB and 1.6TB sizes. Oh, and we want one. For business.

Fashion tugs on Superman’s cape at Comic-Con

Comic-Con 2013: DC’s Superman 75th Anniversary Exhibit

SAN DIEGO — There are a lot of questions concerning Superman’s fashion sense. How does his suit stay intact against speeding locomotives? What’s with the cape? But perhaps most importantly, where did his red underwear go?

Variations on a super-theme: Superman’s suits through the years

1-2 of 9 Scroll Left Scroll Right

The DC Comics booth at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 has been turned into a fashion showcase for Superman costumes from movies and TV since 1978. In addition to one set of street clothes for Clark Kent, eight of Superman’s heroic uniforms were on display, including outfits worn by Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, Tom Welling, Brandon Routh, and Henry Cavill.
