Blue HTC One Spotted

Blue HTC One SpottedAre you feeling blue, or do you have a love for all things blue? Here is an example of something blue which you might want to empty or lighten your pockets for – a blue colored version of the HTC One has just been spotted. Sure, the HTC One has been around for quite some time already, and so too have a blue colored version of the HTC One been spotted before, with a press image of it revealed earlier this month to “confirm” its existence, but I guess you can say that things have gotten even more concrete this time around, where the press image shows off its existence with the front panel of a blue HTC One leaked by Taiwanese source ePrice.

Of course, what you see above will be lacking a display that is connected to it, and there is one very good reason for that – this is a piece that is headed right from the assembly unit itself. While the detailed nitty gritty concerning the blue HTC One as well as its launch remain to be seen, it is interesting to note that no particular carrier branding has been spotted on this blue chassis, and chances are it could make its way towards global markets. If the Smurfs had a smartphone that they would use, then I guess this blue colored HTC One variant would do the trick for them.

LA Mural Ordinance Would Allow Art On Single-Family Residences

Murals are part of Los Angeles’ history, found in the alleyways of Venice or on the sides of Eastside bodegas. With political and cultural references, murals are frequently markers that bind communities.

But now, murals are caught up in a battle involving property values, art, and personal taste.

As part of a new overall mural ordinance, the city is weighing a law that would allow murals on single-family residences. Under the proposed law, homeowners could paint images on the sides of their properties — be it their Boyle Heights Victorian home or Woodland Hills ranch.

McCain And Flake Push For Immigration Reform In Arizona

After five terms in the Senate and possibly nearing the end of his career, John McCain would like immigration reform to be a crowning achievement in his political legacy.

For Jeff Flake, a newcomer to the upper chamber after 12 years in the House, immigration reform is critical to winning over Latino voters and keeping the Republican Party competitive as the fast-growing Hispanic voter bloc alters the political landscape in Arizona and the nation. It could improve the electoral fortunes of Flake and his party for years to come.

But beyond that, the two Arizona senators, who have emerged as leaders in the push this year for comprehensive immigration reform, view the legislation as an opportunity to repair their state’s reputation, which has been battered by the immigration fight over state Senate Bill 1070, allegations of racial profiling and border vigilantes.

Manga Generator Puts You in the Comics

As much as I think the Kinect is a cool device, I have to say I don’t play many Xbox 360 games that use it. However, this interactive concept being shown off in Japan is something I’d definitely want to try.

    manga generator

Developed by the Shirai Lab at the Kanagawa Institute of Technology, Manga Generator lets you strike poses and automatically puts you into the panels of a Manga comic.

You can either jump into a pre-written story or have the Kinect sensor and custom software algorithms determine your body positions and select the appropriate backgrounds and props. When you’re done creating your personal Manga, you can print it out for posterity.

There’s no word on if or when Manga Generator will be released to the public, but one YouTube commenter said it best “BRB GOING TO JAPAN.”
