Consoles don’t ever really come back from the dead, they just usually become niche. But the PlayStation Vita, Sony’s redheaded portable stepchild, is currently having its Lazarus moment more than a year after release; a solid second chance at relevance. It’s a resurrection owed entirely to the indie community, a fact Sony’s more than happy to acknowledge — just look at the company’s recent marketing and Gamescom presser for proof. But before we talk Vita 2.0 and the promising future ahead, let’s rewind a bit to examine the missteps that almost pushed Sony’s powerhouse portable off a cliff.
Disgruntled Chinese Bus Driver Hits Pack Of Cyclists With Vehicle Because He Got A Speeding Fine
Posted in: Today's ChiliBEIJING — A Chinese bus driver angry over being punished by his company drove a bus into a pack of bicyclists and motorcyclists on Wednesday, injuring 27 people, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
The bus driver – identified only by his surname Li – had been fined 200 yuan ($32) by his company for exceeding the speed limit in July and put on leave after he refused to write a self-criticism letter, Xinhua said.

Box announced today that it now has 20,000,000 or 20 million users around the globe. The cloud storage service serves more than 180,000 businesses, including 97 percent of Fortune 500 companies. Five months ago, the service had 18 million users, served 150,000 businesses including 92 percent of Fortune 500 companies. Box co-founder and CEO Aaron Levie announced two new updates in a blog post today. They’ve doubled the free storage in the Personal plan from 5GB to 10GB. A new Starter edition has been unveiled to make it easy and affordable for small businesses to move onto Box. The new Starter edition will cost $5 per user, per month.
Levie says that they’ve been contemplating this move for a long time and that this is the biggest change they’ve made to their offerings since 2010. Small businesses or teams that contain 1-10 users can sign up for the Starter edition. It offers 100GB of storage for the aforementioned cost. Box has also made a small change to its Business plan. Companies can now add one integration with an enterprise platform. Levie writes that they’ll be making a number of announcements in September which will be focused “elegant experiences” for users across the web and mobile. He hasn’t provided an exact date on which the announcements will be made.

Antonio Smith Suspended By NFL: Texans DE Out For Opener, Last 2 Preseason Games
Posted in: Today's ChiliNEW YORK — Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith has been suspended by the NFL for the season opener and the last two preseason games for hitting Miami guard Richie Incognito with the Dolphins player’s helmet.
Smith ripped the helmet off Incognito’s head, then hit Incognito on the shoulder with it in last Saturday night’s preseason game. The two also went at it in last season’s opener, when Smith kicked Incognito, drawing an $11,000 fine.

Delta is America’s least respected brand, according to a new ranking of 100 of the most well-known companies.
Brand consulting firm CoreBrand surveyed more than 10,000 “business decision-makers” and asked them about how they perceived brands in terms of overall reputation, management and investment potential. Coming in on top were PepsiCo and Coca-Cola, which tied for first place.

Rensi, who was head of McDonald’s in the mid-1990s and now runs a burger chain of his own, argued Tuesday that a $15 minimum wage would put 15 to 20 percent of small businesses out of business.
Fast food workers across the country took to the streets earlier this summer, with some demanding $15 per hour. Many fast food workers have said they’re struggling to survive on their near-minimum wage paychecks and that their employers could afford to pay them more, citing the billions of dollars in profits some chains take in.
