As far as Floyd Mayweather Jr. is concerned, it’s Manny Pacquiao’s fault that boxing fans will never see that long-anticipated Money-PacMan superfight.
“He’s not going to get a chance to fight me,” Mayweather told David Mayo of MLive.com in a interview posted on Saturday. “Now, I’m feeling like I wouldn’t even give him a chance. He had a chance, he blew it, so that’s what it is.”
Back in July, Mayweather told Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports that he would only fight Pacquiao “if he signs with Mayweather Promotions.” But the 36-year-old has rescinded that offer, telling MLive “that’s probably how I was feeling at that particular time.”

The “Hart of Dixie” star, 34, who’s expecting her first child with husband Kyle Newman, partied with her closest friends and family at the event, which brought out celebrities including her co-stars Rachel Bilson and Wilson Bethel, as well as Jessica Alba, Selma Blair, Ashley Madekwe and her husband Iddo Goldberg and fellow expectant parents Teresa Palmer and fiance Mark Webber.

Back in September 2012 we heard about the relatively cheaper Sony PlayStation 3. The company had made a significant change. It replaced the big hard drive PS3 originally came with 12GB of flash based memory. This radically drove the price down. However, there was one caveat. Sony didn’t release this model in U.S. back then. They exclusively marketed it in Hong Kong and Europe. Now nearly a year after its initial launch, it has been confirmed that Sony PlayStation 3 12GB model has finally made its way Stateside. It is available now from Best Buy for $199.99.
We picked up on an alleged 12GB PS3 model last week, the picture reportedly came from a Kmart stockroom somewhere in the U.S. The box contained strict instructions that the unit was not to be displayed or sold until August 18th. Its safe to say now that the launch is spot on. For ardent gamers who have a massive games library, 12GB of storage isn’t going to do much good. Its possible to add additional storage through USB though, so its not like you’ll be stuck with 12GB forever. This particular PS3 model is also now available in Canada, its being sold through a retailer called Future Shop.

Cellphone theft is a very serious issue. Its one thing to get your device stolen by a pickpocket or someone who runs off with your bag, its another to be threatened by a lethal weapon. Such incidents can also prove to be fatal for those who try to resist or negotiate with thieves or muggers. We’ve already seen people such as the Mayor of London and New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman write to big manufacturers urging them to make their devices more secure, essentially make them useless to thieves.
Now after an act that went into effect on August 13th, all domestic smartphones manufactured in Korea from now until Q2 2014 must come with a “kill switch.” This safety feature will allow users to turn off their devices remotely. Once the kill switch is flipped, the device freezes and is rendered unusable. Thieves won’t be able to format it, the device would essentially become an expensive paperweight. Both Samsung and LG will start producing smartphones soon that will come with this switch, whereas Pantech has already incorporated the feature in its devices since February 2013. The “Complete Preventive Measures against Illegal Use of Mobile Phone” act aims to reduce the number of lost or stolen devices that are shipped out and sold in grey markets around the world.

NFC or near field communication technology has been widely implemented in various premium smartphones on different platforms such as BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Android. Apple has kept itself and iOS out of the fray for quite some time now, none of the company’s mobile devices feature this technology. It seems that Samsung’s homegrown Tizen OS will come with support for NFC from the get go. The NFC features of Tizen have been shown off on video, which hints at the possibility that the first Tizen device will come with NFC.
The video shows off a NFC tag writing app. NFC tags are basically small stickers that can be configured to invoke a number of actions on a mobile device when it is tapped against that sticker, such as calling a number, launching the browser to access a specific URL or even switching Wi-Fi on and off. The possibilities are endless. Looking at this video, one can speculate that perhaps this app will come pre-installed on Samsung’s first Tizen device. This may definitely be a unique plus point for Samsung’s nascent platform. The company has already labelled Tizen as a simple alternative to Android. It is speculated that in a bid to end its reliance upon Android, Samsung is working hard to develop its own platform. Though the company probably won’t switch all of its devices from Android to Tizen abruptly. First Tizen device is expected to come out this October.

Forty years after graduating from Yale Law School, Former First Lady and Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton is returning to her alma mater for a big honor.
According to the school’s website, Clinton will be receiving an “Award of Merit” on Saturday, Oct. 5 for her contributions to the legal field. As part of the alumni weekend’s “Global Constitutionalism” festivities, she will also make an address
The news arrives days after a Wednesday Politico report said Clinton is fielding offers from colleges and universities to generate a formal academic platform.
