Companies such as Apple and Adobe have been questioned by the Australian government in the past over why their products are priced higher in their country, even after conversion which makes certain products a lot more expensive than their North American equivalents. While Adobe has caved to the Australian government’s demands, could Sony and Microsoft eventually cave too? If you’re wondering what we’re talking about, Choice Online from Australia  has reported that it is possible that Australians can expect to pay a lot more for PS4 and Xbox One games.

The company has reported that based on their comparisons of prices from local retailers such as JB Hi-Fi and EB Games, they expect that Australians could pay as much as 37% more for PS4 and Xbox One games compared to those living in North America, where the games have be priced at $59.99. Naturally this is pretty unfair for Australian gamers, and while it is understandable that Microsoft and Sony might not price it at AUD59.99 as they could make a loss due to the USD being stronger than the Aussie dollar, pricing it 37% higher seems a little extreme. It will be interesting to see if the Australian government has anything to say about this.

When it comes to video games on consoles, most developers tend to release on the PlayStation and Xbox platforms, with Nintendo’s Wii and Wii U platform acting as an afterthought. For fans of Batman, you might have heard the good news in which Warner Bros confirmed that Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on all platforms – the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, the PC, and the Wii U. The bad news is that unfortunately the multiplayer mode for the game will not be released for the Wii U, instead multiplayer mode will be available only on the PS3, Xbox 360, and the PC.

According to a statement released by Warner Bros, “The team is focusing development efforts on platforms with the largest MP audience,” which while blunt is pretty accurate. The Wii U console is unfortunately not doing so hot right now and we’re sure excluding features from games will not be helping the console get back on its feet. Interestingly though Wii U gamers could end up paying the same amount for the game despite it lacking a pretty major feature, a move that we’re sure many gamers will not be too pleased about.

The first Temple Run game got pretty famous on its own, which later saw the game utilized by movie studios to help promote their movies. The game itself then got a sequel with updated graphics and new ruins to navigate, and if you love playing the game as much as I do, you might be pretty pleased to learn that the game has recently received an update where it will introduce to gamers a brand new character that they pay to purchase. For a limited time and if you’re willing to drop $0.99, you will be able to purchase the Usain Bolt character!

Yes it is the same Usain Bolt athlete who broke records in sporting events, and now he is a playable character in Temple Run 2. It is unknown how long this “limited time” offer is, but if you’re the sort that likes unlocking as many characters as you can, you might want to move fast. Usain Bolt’s character will also be getting his own unique ability called (unsurprisingly) the “Bolt”, and it basically combines the Boost ability and the Magnet ability together, which we have to admit is pretty darn cool. In any case for those who have yet to download the game, you can hit up the iTunes App Store for the free download, but just to reiterate, the Usain Bolt character will cost $0.99 to unlock.
