Updated Razer Ouroboros gaming mouse makes its way to North America retail stores

razer-ouroborosWe have seen the Razer Ouroboros in the past, but as with any hardware, even though it is considered to be the “best” there is in the market, having an updated version would make plenty of sense, as the hardware will still need to keep up with the times. I guess you can say this about the Razer Ouroboros gaming mouse, which is now available for purchase in North America. Just what kind of goodies does the menacing looking Razer Ouroboros come with right out of the box? We are looking at a highly customizable gaming mouse, sporting fully customizable ergonomics so that you can configure it to fit your hand comfortably, regardless of your hand shape, size or grip-style.

Apart from that, the mouse can also be custom configured using the adjustable arched palm rest according to the angle that you are most comfortable with. Looking more like something from the distant future, the Razer Ouroboros will also boast of a retractable back panel which can be set to any one of three positions, in addition to a quartet of interchangeable side panels, now how about that for a truly unique gaming mouse?

The Razer Ouroboros will make use of a cutting-edge 8200 dpi 4G laser sensor that is capable of accurately calibrating the mouse regardless of the surface, where it will also be able to provide improved tracking responsiveness as well as enabling users to customize lift-off tracking, creating precision control. Not only that, it comes with wireless capabilities that will feature 1000 Hz Ultrapolling between mouse and computer, where it makes sure that a user’s actuations will be instantly translated in a game so that you need not blame unresponsive hardware for your gaming failure, ever again. When working in its wireless mode, the Razer Ouroboros will run on a single rechargeable AA battery that is said to be able to last for at least a dozen hours of non-stop gaming action before requiring a recharge. The asking price for the Razer Ouroboros? $149.99 a pop.

Material aims to outdo Flipboard by adapting to your changing interests

With the likes of Flipboard, Google Currents, Pulse and other magazine-style newsreaders competing for your attention, the folks at Inq Mobile are aiming to delight audiences by delivering personalized content from unexpected sources. As creators of one of the first Facebook phones, they’re now leveraging their social roots with an app known as Material, which attempts to learn your interests by examining your Facebook and Twitter activity. You can still manually add content, but Material strives to eliminate the configuration hassles you’ll find elsewhere. Instead, its developers are reckoning that you’ll appreciate a greater variety of news sources, and it can also adapt to your preferences over time by examining the type of stories you read. In all, Material serves up two editions of content daily, which includes blog entries, videos, music, photos and news articles. It’s now available for free on iOS, and joined by an updated release of the Android app. If you’ve yet to check out Material, it could be worth installing just to see just what it thinks you like.

Was The Backlash Against The Xbox One Fair?

Was The Backlash Against The Xbox One Fair?

Ever since its less-than-stellar showing at E3, Microsoft’s Xbox One has been a rather popular whipping boy for the games industry. The backlash suffered by Microsoft was downright legendary, and it’s something they’re not going to live down for a very, very long time.

Question is, was it justified?

Léa Seydoux’s No Makeup Cover For Jalouse Is So Refreshing (PHOTO)

Finally: There’s a magazine cover on newsstands that we can actually relate to, and it comes straight from the fashion capital of the world.

Jalouse, a forward-thinking French style glossy, has put Léa Seydoux on its September cover, foregoing the standard glam hair and makeup in lieu of a more “real” look. Photographed by Juergen Teller, the French actress gazes into the camera barefaced and sporting decidedly disheveled hair. Call us crazy, but we love it. Sure, Léa’s gorgeous and doesn’t need much styling. But after the barrage of glitzy, over-the-top September covers (see here, here and here), it’s beyond refreshing to see a magazine take such a staunch stance against all of the fuss.

Check out Jalouse’s cover below and tell us: Do you want to see more of this on newsstands? Or do you prefer the usual razzle-dazzle?

George Zimmerman’s Wife Pleads Guilty In Perjury Trial Related To Trayvon Martin Case

Although ultimately unable to secure a conviction against George Zimmerman, Florida prosecutors successfully convinced his wife to plead guilty to perjury charges relating to her husband’s murder trial.

Shellie Zimmerman, who once dreamed of becoming a nurse, agreed to plead guilty Wednesday to a misdemeanor charge carrying a sentence of one year of probation and 100 hours of community service, according to reports. The deal also requires her to apologize to the judge.

Originally charged with a third-degree felony, Zimmerman could have spent five years in jail if convicted, the Orlando Sentinel reports. She initially pleaded not guilty to the charge, according to the Associated Press.

Ramon Negron Colon, Drug Lord’s Lawyer, Indicted By Grand Jury In Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A Puerto Rico lawyer has been arrested on allegations he collected funds meant to bribe a judge to overturn a life sentence for a drug dealer once dubbed the “Pablo Escobar of the Caribbean,” officials said Tuesday.

Ramon Negron Colon, an attorney for Jose Figueroa Agosto, was charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering. U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez said Negron had received at least $590,000 in cash for the scheme, though there is no evidence that any bribe was actually offered to any official.

The Summer of Cronut (And 6 Other Food Trends We Saw in New York This Summer)

It’s hard to believe that summer’s winding down. Here we are, with Labor Day in sight and crisp air, cozy sweaters and apple cider on the mind. Before we jump into the next season, however, let’s pause and relish in all the great food we ate in New York this summer.

Each summer sees its food trends: last summer Pok Pok took the city by storm and all anyone could talk about was the hipster exodus to Montauk. The summer before that it was the Rockaways, specifically the Rockaway Beach Boardwalk, and even more specifically, Rockaway Taco (well worth the hype, in my opinion.) So what were this summer’s biggest trends in New York?

    The Cronut
