Greg Abbott: ‘Without Voter Fraud, Obamacare Would Not Exist’

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott (R) has a theory as to how Obamacare was able become law, and it places a lot of responsibility on voting at the polls.

Speaking at the Texas Tribune Festival on Saturday, Abbott pointed specifically to the 2008 election of Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), who won by a few hundred votes. According to the Houston Chronicle, Abbott argued that if it wasn’t for elections like this, the Affordable Care Act would have seen a different fate.

“Without voter fraud, Obamacare would not exist,” Abbott said.

Breaking Bad NES Cartridge: Console Gray

After five amazing seasons, Vince Gilligan’s Breaking Bad is finally coming to an end. Other than the occasional conversation between Badger and Skinny Pete show doesn’t have a lot to do with videogames, but excellence radiates beyond boundaries. 72Pins worked with pixel artist Drew Wise to make an homage to the TV show in the only way it knows how: with art on a random NES cartridge.

As with other 72Pins carts, Bad Breaker is a playable NES cartridge. Sadly, whatever game you get, you can be sure that it’s not got nothing to with Breaking Bad. The least they could do is install this.

Javad Zarif, Iran Foreign Minister: ‘The Holocaust Is Not A Myth’

WASHINGTON — Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said Sunday that the Holocaust was no “myth,” and that a statement suggesting otherwise — found on the website of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei — was simply a mistranslation.

“I have spoken to the leader on this issue,” Zarif said during an interview on ABC’s “This Week.” “He rejects and condemns the killing of innocent people.”

“No, the Holocaust is not a myth,” he added. “Nobody is talking about a myth … if it is there it is a bad translation and it is translated out of context.

Jennifer Aniston’s Punk Brother Reportedly Serving As Best Man At Her Wedding

Jennifer Aniston’s half-brother AJ Aniston is a 24-year-old “crust punk,” whom when the Daily Mail ran into him at Burning Man a few weeks back really, really didn’t want to talk about his very famous sister.

“It’s been happening since middle school [people asking about the actress]. It’s been a pain in my ass for years. No comment,” the self-described artist, who often lives in a van, and has “Live Free” tattooed across his stomach, told the paper when asked for an interview about his sister.

And it’s not just the media AJ doesn’t discuss her with — an unnamed friend of AJ’s told the Daily Mail that his relationship with this family is something he won’t bring up:

Verizon Wireless website reportedly allowing users to keep unlimited data plans while upgrading

Apparently, now is the time to upgrade your Verizon phone if you want to keep your grandfathered unlimited data plan in tact. According to tips we’ve received, along with reports from Droid-Life and Android Central, the aforementioned type of users are not being forced into a tiered Max data plan during the upgrade process. There doesn’t seem to be any bit of trickery required to make it happen either — folks just go through usual upgrade motions to get a brand new phone on subsidy, and come out with an order confirmation that has all-you-can-eat data still onboard (see above). We’ve reached out to Verizon to find out whether this is an issue with its website or a shift in policy, and will post an update if we hear more. Let us know your results if you’re brave enough to try it out.

How Much Global Warming Will Happen Before You Kick The Bucket?

How Much Global Warming Will Happen Before You Kick The Bucket?

On Friday the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change put its collective foot down about global warming. It’s happening and it’s our fault. But as with any issue that affects all of humanity, the most important question is what’s gonna happen to you? Will you have to give up air conditioning? Will the song "White Christmas" become completely irrelevant? Will you have to feel guilty about how your generation is leaving things for your children’s generation? The Guardian has a way for you to check.

The Ducati 899 Panigale motorcycle was made as a replacement for the 848 Superbike, and it’s supposed to be comfortable both on the track and the road. The engine produces 148 hp at 9,000 RPM. It’s loaded with high tech electronics, like a quick shifter, ride-by-wire, triple stage ABS, traction control, engine brake control and more. The monocoque aluminum frame should also be nice to ride.

An Infrared View of Philadelphia Is Trippy and Apocalyptic

The idea of an empty city is sort of simultaneously awesome and creepy because it would be cool to have a space built for thousands of people all to yourself, but you’d have to wonder where everybody went. Photographer Bruce Wayne Berry Jr. wanted to investigate the feelings evoked by an empty city while using effects to show what Philadelphia looks like through infrared filters.

Star Wars Death Star Trench Run on the Oculus Rift: Use the Headset Luke

We’ve seen the memorable ending scene of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope recreated with LEGO and in Minecraft, but YouTuber Boone Calhoun is working on a way to not just recreate but to experience the scene through Luke’s point of view as well: a 3D videogame version that’s meant to be played using the Oculus Rift.
