FiberFix Could Be Even Better Than Duct Tape

That headline is hard to believe I know, but it just might be true. Despite all of the things that we can do with duct tape, FiberFix may just come out ahead. FiberFix is a special tape that hardens into a steel-like material that is 100 times stronger than duct tape. Yeah, see what I mean? That is some amazing stuff.
    FiberFix 620x348magnify

Imagine repairing an item with this stuff. Chances are that it won’t break in the same spot again. It comes in airtight pouches because the resin that makes it so strong is activated with water. For the most part you can just use the stuff right out of the box because there is enough moisture in the air, but if you need to you can soak it in water. Just apply it to your broken item, say, the wood handle of a shovel, and after 5 to 10 minutes the resin hardens and adheres to the item you can use it like nothing ever happened. In some cases it can take up to 24 hours to fully cure and reach maximum strength, so for some jobs you will want to leave it alone overnight.

Prices start at $6(USD) for a 1 inch wide by 40 inch long strip, and you can grab a combo pack with three different sizes of FiberFix for $20. Not bad. This stuff is amazing. You just have to make sure you handle it safely, you don’t want to get this stuff on your hands or skin.

Marshall Major FX Headphones offers quality audio with a classic look

marshall-major-fxSerious audiophiles would always want nothing but the very best for their ears, and when it comes to a good pair of headphones, I would like to think that brand loyalty does play a very important role, although there are times when it would be good if one could expand one’s horizons and settle for something different. Who knows? Your ears might just thank you for it. The $99.99 Marshall Major FX Headphones could be your next purchase if you are on the lookout for a new pair of headphones, where it comes with classic Marshall styling and technology for that added touch of class.

It is the ideal pair of headphones for classic rock audiophiles, where it features a 40mm moving coil dynamic speaker to boot for that enhanced audio quality. In-ear headphones would no doubt be a whole lot more subtle, and those who are behind you will tend not to realize that you are wearing a pair, but when it comes to over-ear headphones, they are an obvious enough sign that you should be left alone, and do not want to be disturbed. The Marshall Major FX Headphones would play nice with majority of the devices out there which use a 3.5mm standard audio plug (in-line volume/call control only works with iOS devices), and within the adjustable headband, you will find the words “London England 1962″ inscribed for that added touch of authenticity.

We've Finally Figured Out Why Hot Water Freezes Faster Than Cold

For centuries, scientists have puzzled over a counter-intutive observation: hot water, for some reason, seems to freeze faster than cold. Fortunately, now a team of physicists has worked out why it happens.

Ingress beta for Android now open to all augmented reality fans

For the past year, the Ingress beta has been as much an exclusive club as it is an augmented reality game — you’ve had to request an invitation to play. Google and Niantic Labs must want more of us to join the party, though, as they’ve quietly dropped the invitation requirement. Any Android user …

Setting the Record Straight: Debunking All the Flu Vaccine Myths

Setting the Record Straight: Debunking All the Flu Vaccine Myths

It’s that time again — that time when dozens of spurious articles pop up all over the web touting all the dangers of the flu vaccine. Articles on unreliable, alarmist, misinformative sites like Natural News, Mercola, chiropractic blogs and other such sites rail against the “toxins” in the vaccine, or claim the flu vaccine doesn’t work, or that it causes this or that horrible disease, or that the flu itself just really isn’t all that bad. (I’m not going to link to any of them. They get too much attention as it is.)
