An exhibition celebrating the early work of David Hockney that explores the artist’s sexuality and includes a painting of his art school pin-up, Cliff Richard, opens on Friday at Liverpool’s Walker art gallery.
Almost 40 works have been brought together for the exhibition, which show what a powerful force the Bradford-born artist was from a young age. “There is such a lot of energy in his early paintings,” said curator Ann Bukantas. “I find them quite exciting, and one of the things we wanted to do was take people back, away from the big, colourful trees and the iPad drawings to where Hockney started out.”
‘Craze’ Workout Supplement Contains Meth-Like Stimulant ‘Never Studied In Humans’

A new study published Monday in the journal Drug Testing and Analysis found that the stimulant in Craze isn’t listed on the product’s label, and hasn’t been studied in humans.

The high court on Tuesday refused to hear from Raymond Woollard and the Second Amendment Foundation, Inc., who say the law violates the Second Amendment.

“No matter what environment we are in, Wal-Mart will win,” Duke said at the company’s meeting with investors and analysts in Arkansas on Tuesday. The meeting was also webcast.
Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, has already felt pressure from the economy. Same-store sales at Walmart U.S., its largest business, unexpectedly fell 0.3 percent in the second quarter.
