Bill Moyers’ ‘Moyers & Company’ Ending January 2014

Bill Moyers announced Tuesday that his show “Moyers & Company” will be ending in January.

Current reported that the last broadcast will be January 3, 2014, when the current funding runs out. Moyers retired from weekly television in 2010 when “Bill Moyers Journal” ended, but came out of retirement in 2012 to do “Moyers & Company.”

“Before moving on, I want once more to express my appreciation for the collegiality I have shared with so many of you over so many years,” Moyers wrote on Tuesday. “I wish you all good luck in meeting the challenges facing public media today.”

PARIS — PARIS (AP) — Four Frenchmen held hostage by al-Qaida militants landed in France on Wednesday after three years in captivity in the punishing African Sahel.

The wife and daughters of one hostage, Daniel Larribe, rushed to hug him, and the three held each other while crying. Other friends and family snapped photos of their loved ones finally home.

    Nintendo: Wii U Still Having A Negative Impact On Our Profits

    It should be no surprise the Wii U hasn’t performed as well as Nintendo may have expected it to as its sales continue to disappoint the company on a regular basis. The latest reports coming from Nintendo continue to show how poorly the console is performing as a total of 460,000 Wii U consoles sold worldwide in the six month period ending on September 30. In total, the Wii U has sold a total of 3.91 million units globally, although Nintendo is optimistically predicting its console will sell nine million units before the end of its 2014 financial year.
