Khloe Kardashian Looks Smoking In Tight Black Skirt And Black Top In California

Though her personal life is reportedly a roller coaster of emotions, on the outside, Khloe Kardashian looks nothing short of amazing.

The youngest Kardashian sister stepped out in Encino, Calif. today to film scenes for her family’s reality series, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” at a local restaurant.

Khloe, 29, celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary last weekend but she reportedly did so with family and friends, not with her husband Lamar Odom. Then last night, she posted the following heartbreaking message to Instagram: “I crave a love so deep the ocean would be jealous.”

RNC Offers To Fund The Part Of Government Shutdown Grabbing The Most Media Attention

WASHINGTON — The Republican National Committee engaged in a political stunt Wednesday, with Chairman Reince Priebus offering to give the government around $150,000 to keep the World War II Memorial open for 30 days during the ongoing government shutdown.

Priebus held a press conference on Wednesday in front of the barricaded World War II Memorial, which has been closed to the public for the past two days but has still been visited by veterans and members of Congress, who helped remove the gates.

Despite the fact that the National Park Service announced an accommodation for veterans on Wednesday by deciding they could continue to visit because they were engaged in First Amendment activity, Priebus accused the Obama administration of unnecessarily barricading the memorial to demonstrate the impact of the government shutdown.

WARSAW, Poland — WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Police were searching on Wednesday for a vandal who damaged a bronze statue of Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II in the Polish city of Gdansk by cutting off one arm of the former U.S. president and stealing it.

The statue was unveiled just last year to honor Reagan and the Polish-born pope, who were both widely credited with helping Poland topple communism 24 years ago.

LAUSD’s iPad Problems Frustrate Those Involved In The $1 Billion Technology Project

Los Angeles Unified’s ambitious iPad project hit another snag Tuesday, as officials conceded that some schools have temporarily stopped using the tablet computers, and the school board scheduled a special meeting to get its own questions answered about the status of the rollout.

Roosevelt and Westchester high schools are among a handful of campuses that have shelved the iPads while officials figure out the best ways to distribute tablets to students during the day and keep them secured overnight. District representatives are working with the schools to try and get the tablets back in kids’ hands as soon as possible.

“We’re learning from what’s happening,” said Bernadette Lucas, director of the Common Core Technology Project. “These bumps in the road should not get in the way of our students’ future.”

Craigslist ad offers DC Capitol sublet for $1,000

Get in while you can.

(Credit: Screenshot by Chris Matyszczyk/CNET)

All my favorite politicians tell me that the people’s biggest enemy is waste.

I am, therefore, constitutionally uplifted by a sublet ad that has appeared on the DC Craigslist site.

It offers an 775,000-square-foot abode, with 8 bedrooms, for a mere $1,000.

This is perhaps the bargain of the century. It is a steal.

The word “steal” is currently most associated with the politicians in Congress, who still get paid during the government shutdown, while many residents and tourists are denied basic services.

How heartening, then, that the building on offer is, in fact, the US Capitol.

The ad sells the property very well: “So my roommates all left because of a job thing and I need to make rent. I really think this place is great and I’ve been living here for a while (incumbency FTW!). I don’t want to leave but the utilities are a real bitch to afford on your own.”
