Named for Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, the $1.8 million wing inside the Didi Hirsch Via Avanta building on Glenoaks Boulevard was hailed by county leaders and nonprofit groups as proof that collaboration can help solve one of the biggest problems in the region.
Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services raised more than $1.2 million in grants and loans from The Ahmanson Foundation, The Parsons Foundation, Los Angeles County’s District 3 and the California Health Facilities Financing Authority, while Yaroslavsky helped allocate an additional $542,000 for capital improvements, officials said.
