The zippy Snapdragon 800 pushes pixels beautifully on gadgets like the Nexus 5 and the Kindle Fire HDX, but now there’s a new kid on the block. Qualcomm just announced its Snapdragon 805 complete with 4K powers, and it’s coming to devices starting next year.
People may not agree on a lot of things, which we certainly learned through our various stories covering the launch of the PlayStation 4 and upcoming launch of the Xbox One, but we’re sure there’s one thing we can agree on: we want medical professionals to easily find our veins. When you need to open up your veins to either get blood work done or to have an IV put in, medical professionals can only get better the more they practice. But with a new wearable trans-dermal imaging system, finding veins on a patient may may be extremely easy. (more…)

Last month we found out that the PlayStation 4′s DualShock 4 controller more or less works with a PlayStation 3. PCSX2 forum member InhexSTER made a tool allowing you to use the controller with Windows games.
In simple terms, what the tool does is it maps the DualShock 4′s controls to a virtual Xbox 360 controller, which many PC games support. Check out InhexSTER’s video below for a demo:
You can download InhexSTER’s tool here. InhexSTER says that the DualShock 4 does work with some PC games out of the box, so you might want to try doing it the vanilla way first. Also, PC Gamer notes that you’ll only be able to use the DualShock 4 wirelessly if your PC is on Windows 8 or 8.1. If you’re on Windows 7 you’ll have to keep the controller plugged in to your PC via a microUSB-to-USB cable.

Toyota is taking fuel cells seriously, unveils concept car and reaffirms launch in 2015
Posted in: Today's ChiliFuel cells are very much back on the energy agenda. It’s not smartphones this time, however, but vehicles. From Toyota, no less. The company’s fuel cell program is about to bear fruit and it’s revealed a sleek, shiny concept design that’s promising a range of “at least” 500 km and a refuel time comparable to good ol’ gasoline vehicles. The eventual production model car is planned to go on sale in 2015, which would ensure Toyota keeps the promise it made way back in 2010. The blue color scheme and softened design curves are meant to evoke the “key characteristics” of fuel cell cars: turning air into water. There’s even a wave motif fuel cap — it’s all about the details. Once filled and plugged into a compatible home, the FCV is also apparently capable of providing enough electricity to power an average Japanese home for over a week (10 kWh). To accomplish this, two high-pressure hydrogen tanks are stored along the undercarriage, but if you’re depending on the FCV to function as, well… a car, then you’ll be happy to hear that it can carry around three passengers, alongside the early-adopting driver. %Gallery-slideshow122474%

The New York City branch of Bonhams auction house hosted an eye-popping and widely hyped dinosaur auction in the city yesterday afternoon. At the center were the so-called "Montana Dueling Dinosaurs," a huge, combined fossil of two nearly-complete dinosaur skeletons apparently caught fighting to the death, valued as high as $9 million dollars.
