Lady Gaga And Joseph Gordon-Levitt Breeze Through ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ Together (VIDEO)

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has gone and charmed us again, this time taking to the stage alongside Lady Gaga to duet on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” The pair performed the winter favorite on Thursday night during Gaga’s holiday special with the Muppets, with both stars dressed in chic ’50s-style garb.

JGL may be accustomed to hearing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” on his annual Christmas playlist, as we imagine he places “(500) Days of Summer” co-star Zooey Deschanel’s version with She & Him on repeat. Likewise, Gaga is used to performing Christmas tunes, having co-written her own on 2008’s “Christmas Tree.” Watch them join forces above.

Los Angeles Redistricting Discriminates Against Latinos, Activists Say

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is aggressively pursuing lawsuits over minority voting rights in Texas and North Carolina, but the Justice Department has not moved on evidence that the latest round of redistricting in Los Angeles County unfairly reduces the influence of Latino voters.

Nearly half the 10 million people in the nation’s largest county are Latino. But political boundaries redrawn in 2011 make it possible for Latino voters to elect just one of the five supervisors.

Garth Brooks Talks Love For Trisha Yearwood, Says ‘I Never Knew It Could Be Like This’

Garth Brooks sat down with Ellen DeGeneres yesterday (Nov. 29) and in a candid interview about his family, spoke lovingly of his wife of eight years, Trisha Yearwood.

When asked by Ellen how they met, Brooks recounted their initial meeting in 1987 when he was newly married to Sandy Mahl. When he and Mahl got divorced in 2000, he and Yearwood got a chance to know each other “as people,” outside of the music industry. They then married in 2005.

“I gotta tell you, if you like her and don’t know her — you’ll love her. If you love her and don’t know her — you’ll worship her,” he told Ellen of Yearwood. “She’s the real deal.”

Parents Of Daughters Lean Republican, Study Shows

What do your children have to do with your political leanings? More than you might imagine.

Parents who have only daughters, or whose first-born is a girl, are more likely to support the GOP. That’s the word from a new study that flies in the face of previous research, which suggested that having daughters makes parents more likely to vote liberal.

“We find that daughters promote identification with the Republican Party, but this effect depends on social status,” study co-author Dr. Emily Rauscher, a sociology professor at the University of Kansas, told The Huffington Post in an email. “We do not find consistent evidence that daughters influence views of women or opinions about abortion, but we find some evidence that parents with daughters are more pro-choice and more opposed to teen sex.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — When he meets voters in Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District, former Army Ranger Kevin Strouse recounts how he helped clear a city block in Iraq during the rescue of prisoner of war Jessica Lynch in 2003. The story is meant to show his experience working with others to accomplish a goal.

“In the military, it’s always a team effort,” says Strouse, who completed three tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq and now is running as a Democrat, hoping to unseat GOP Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick next year. “There’s a hierarchy, but things get done because people work together.”

Guy Accidentally Throws Away Hard Drive with $7.5 Million in Bitcoins

Backing up your hard drive is always good advice and this story should drive the point home. Do not let this happen to you. British IT professional James Howells mined 7,500 Bitcoins back in 2009. Then he completely forgot about them.

Those Bitcoins are now worth about $7.5 million(USD). So anyway, he later threw away the hard drive where he had it all stored last summer. Ohhhh that sucks. Now they are sitting somewhere in a landfill the size of a soccer field. They are buried under about four feet of trash. There is no way he could ever hope to find the hard drive. Man, that must feel like crap.

However, Howell isn’t letting it get him down, saying that he could either laugh or cry about it. That said has created a new Bitcoin wallet asking for help if anyone feels sorry for him.
