The Nexus family of devices from Google has been pretty solid offerings in the past, and for sure Google is not going to quit the hardware market either. We now have heard whispers of an Intel-powered Nexus 8 that might arrive sometime later this year, although you can more or less classify this under the “rumors” section for now. DigiTimes are the ones behind this particular snippet, where according to one of their sources, which so happens to be part of the supply chain, Google could very well drop the 7” tablet that they have marketed in the past in favor of a new Nexus 8 for this year.

It was just yesterday when we mentioned how Verizon’s shared data plans would be on the receiving end of a new tier, and so here we are with the clock going past midnight, and Verizon has lifted the veil on their new Share Everything plans. Basically, Verizon intends to roll out a $20 shared data plan that offers just 250MB of data, where it will see a savings of approximately $20 off the base rate. In a nutshell, it would enable a solitary smartphone owner to fork out as little as $60 monthly for the entire full service, while a customer with a basic phone would fork out $50 per month.

Microsoft seems to be on the receiving end of the wrath of the Syrian Electronic Army recently, where their news Twitter accounts fell victim to. Apart from that, Microsoft’s Office Blog has been caught out by the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) – and although the blog was defaced, it was quickly recovered by Microsoft. The screenshot above pointed to SEA putting out a bunch of posts that depicted how they have gained access to the blog, although many would not claim it to be a hack.

Whenever a device arrives at the FCC and more importantly, picks up approval from the governing body, it is more or less a signal that points to the impending release of the device itself without any specific release date being mentioned. Lenovo themselves have had a fair number of tablets released in the past, and this time around, a couple more have received the collective nod of approval from the folks over at the FCC. Not only that, the Lenovo A7600 as well as the Lenovo A5500 have been approved for use in China, too, now how about that? You can say that the Sony Sirius, also known as the Xperia Z2 or the Sony D6503, has been on the receiving end of its fair amount of rumors in recent times – mostly dealing with hardware issues, but this time around, we have a leak of the purported Android 4.3 screenshots that allegedly hail from the yet unreleased Sony Sirius which you can see above.

When it comes to accessories for the range of Nexus devices, those happen to be a rather sensitive topic. After all, it is not all the time that every single one of them have been a success, and neither have they been abject failures, either. With so many third party options to choose from when it comes to protective cases and docks, picking the right one can be quite a difficult task. Of course, the situation was not helped either as Google did not really roll out accessories on a large scale, and the ones that they did were rather pricey in nature. Asus, the one behind the Nexus 7, has listed a couple of new docks for the Nexus 7 recently, but did not mention on how folks living in the US were able to procure one for themselves.

You know that a particular smartphone is about to roll out when more and more rumors surrounding it start to make its way to the online news channels and blogs. Case in point, the next flagship smartphone from the folks over at Sony, where the Sony D6503, also known as the Sony Sirius, or in some other circles, it has been called the Sony Xperia Z2, has been spotted resting side by side with its soon-to-be predecessor, the Sony Xperia Z1, as you can see in the photo above.
