The Ring Input Device Puts Gesture Control And Home Automation On Your Finger

There was once a rumor that Apple would actually use a ring device for input to an Apple television. Neither of those gadgets exist yet, of course, but Ring is a Kickstarter project trying to fund a finger-based wearable that could enable the kind of controls envisioned in that Apple flight of fancy. The Ring is a hardware device that resembles an ordinary (if slightly chunky) ring, filled with… Read More

Netflix Sleep Hack Resumes Where You Last Dozed Off

In the recent Netflix Hack Day that was organized, several interesting ideas were thrown about, and one of them would be the idea of “sleep bookmarks”. Before you start to have funny ideas about what sleep bookmarks are all about, here is the simple explanation – you will no longer need to find yourself falling asleep while watching a particular episode of your favorite TV series only to wake up and realize you have missed the last 3 episodes. The sleep hack for Netflix will rely on FitBit technology in order to figure out just when you have fallen asleep. Upon doing so successfully, audio on your Netflix-enabled device would begin to fade out, while whatever you are watching at that point in time would stop playing, as evident by the YouTube video above.

We’ve featured a couple of PC casemods that incorporated a computer’s hardware into a desk. If Lian-Li pushes through with its prototype, you won’t need to be a modder to have a desk and PC case in one.

Van Damme epic splits in space should be the final word

Van Damme is sporting a US flag rather than a Belgian one.

It started innocently enough with a viral ad of martial arts action star Jean-Claude Van Damme pulling off an impressive set of splits between two Volvo trucks as a demonstration of the trucks’ steering prowess. This was followed up by a slew of spoofs featuring everyone from Toronto Mayor Rob Ford to actor Channing Tatum promoting his “21 Jump Street” movie sequel.

Perhaps the best response video came courtesy of a computer-generated Chuck Norris doing the splits between two flying airplanes. This really threw down the gauntlet. Which action star would reign supreme? Filmmaker Linh Mai has the response in the form of a video that takes Van Damme into space to perform his splits between two satellites.

All New HTC One Dual Rear Camera Leaked

All New HTC One Dual Rear Camera LeakedIt looks as though the Nokia Lumia 630 is not the only smartphone that is experiencing its fair share of leaks recently, as the all new HTC One (aka HTC M8), too, has gone through a fair amount of leaks. In fact, an upcoming event this March 25th is seen by many as the date where HTC will unveil their “All New HTC One”, which will be the new flagship device, and there has been plenty of leaks happening already. In fact, serial leakster @evleaks has also posted a new picture of the handset that will reportedly be known as the “All New HTC One,” and it does bear a family resemblance to the original HTC One, including the front-facing stereo speakers. There is one major difference in their physical make up, however, which would be located at the back of the handset. Apparently, the usurper will feature dual cameras.

Nokia Lumia 630 Specifications Leaked (Rumor)

Nokia Lumia 630 Specifications Leaked (Rumor)Do take this bit of news with a pinch of salt, as nothing official has been released just yet concerning the Nokia Lumia 630. Sure, we have seen the Nokia Lumia 630 product sheet leaked yesterday which dropped a hint concerning a 4.5” display, but here are more details that touches on the rest of the hardware specifications. Also known as the Nokia “Moneypenny”, the Nokia Lumia 630’s most recent round of leaked information hails from an anonymous (this is expected) user on the Chinese Baidu forum. The forum post also pointed to a slew of new images of the Nokia Lumia 630, as well as comparing it to the existing Nokia Lumia 620 model that is in the market.
