In less than three weeks the Samsung Galaxy S5 is going to be released in more than 100 countries around the world. Major carriers in the U.S. have already started taking pre-orders for the device. There’s no doubt that customers are excited about the launch. Thanks to the folks who have leaked the first ever Samsung Galaxy S5 firmware online, the wait will be a bit more bearable as advanced users take the firmware file apart to find out what goodies its hiding.

A few weeks back, we mentioned that the price of the Xbox One and Titanfall bundle in had come down a bit in the UK. At the time, I wondered if that price cut would be coming to the US as well. We now know that the lower price is indeed coming to the US.
Reports indicate that the price of the Xbox One and Titanfall bundle at Best Buy and Walmart is being reduced by $50. That makes the console bundle available for $450. That brings the cost of the Xbox One closer to the price of the PS4 in the US.
However, the Xbox One is still $50 or so more than the PS4. The PS4 sells for $399, but you do get one of the best games around for the Xbox One in the bundle, so the price works out to be competitive. Interestingly the price discount is said to be coming from the retailers, not Microsoft.

Parting is always such sweet sorrow, or so the saying goes. I suppose it is time to bid goodbye to Windows Azure and give Microsoft Azure a nice, big welcome hug. Why so? Apparently, Microsoft intends to rebrand its cloud platform so that it will no longer be called ‘Windows Azure’, but rather, one would have to refer to it as ‘Microsoft Azure’ from now on as part of the software giant’s push to emphasize its cross-platform services prowess, if the anonymous tips shared online prove to have credibility.

Getting people to the airport via train is a natural priority for cities around the country. When Minneapolis built its first light-rail line back in 2004 it had two major stops: the airport and downtown. But despite over two decades of modern Los Angeles embracing subways, there’s still no train to LAX. The folks over at Yahoo have developed the Yahoo Screen app in such a manner in order to create a TV-like experience on a mobile device, which ought to make the millions of Roku customers more than happy.
