It was only a matter of time. The Oculus Rift has caught so much attention—deservedly so—that of course one of the big dogs was going to start honing in on its virtual reality territory. Tonight, that’s Sony. And its Project Morpheus VR headset sounds fantastic.

According to a report from last week, it was rumored that Sony could be taking the wraps off a virtual reality headset at GDC 2014 which is being held this week. It was a rumor at that time but according to a recent post on Forbes, it seems that the launch of this device has all but been confirmed.
It seems that the report had gone out a little earlier than expected, suggesting that perhaps the folks at Forbes were given an exclusive and were under an NDA, but we guess someone had hit the publish button ahead of time. (more…)

Google unveiled the Chromecast back in 2013 and little did they know that the device would soon prove to be a hit, but then again for its features and for its asking price of $35, we really think Google should have seen this one coming. Last we heard Chromecast sales were in the millions and this was only in the US.
However recently we have also caught wind of how the Chromecast could soon make its way to the UK and sure enough it has, along with 10 other countries as announced by Google on its Chrome Blog. (more…)

Back in the day, Google Voice used to receive a fair amount of attention, and why not? It offered users the option to place calls over the internet which means that if they didn’t want to exceed their phone bill, using services like Google Voice and Skype would have been the way to go.
However these days we haven’t heard much from Google regarding Google Voice, which has led some to believe that Google might be letting the feature die, but according to a rumor from 9to5Google, they claim that Google could be integrating Google Voice in the Hangouts in the future. (more…)

It was reported several years ago that BlackBerry (they were known as RIM at that time) was planning on competing with the likes of Apple not on smartphones, but in terms of living room entertainment.
The rumors suggested that BlackBerry were working on a media box similar to the Apple TV codenamed “Cyclone”. However given that we’re now in 2014 without any news of the device, it’s safe to say that the project has since been pulled. Now thanks to recently leaked photos, we now know what the device and its UI could have looked like. (more…)

According to our earlier report, it seemed that with the latest introduction of iOS 7.1, apps were crashing less frequently compared to its previous versions. There were also reports of how the update made running iOS 7 on the iPhone 4 a much more pleasant experience.
However while that’s well and good, there have also been reports of battery drain and now according to a growing thread and complaints, it seems that iOS 7.1 has caused iPhones to become unresponsive, and there might even be an issue with Touch ID as well. (more…)
