Its was quite a big day for LG yesterday. At a full fledged media event in London the company unveiled LG G3, its 2014 flagship smartphone. It also conducted smaller events at various locations around the world including one on its home turf, in Seoul to be precise. That event was meant to formally introduce South Korea to the G3. Apart from doing that the company also made a confirmation that we had previously heard many rumors about. It was confirmed that the LG G Flex 2 release will take place later this year.
The company is currently working on the device and intends to bring it to the market in the second half of 2014. It even confirmed that the Vu 4 phablet will also make its way to the market at the same time. Vu doesn’t have much traction outside of Korea but the phablet appears to have done very well for itself back home.
A recent rumor suggested that LG G Flex 2 will be more innovative than its predecessor which brought a “self-healing” coating as well as a curved display. That rumor pegged the release in the first quarter of 2015. Its possible that the LG G Flex 2 might take that long to reach markets elsewhere since its very much possible that the company will first launch it in South Korea. Its doing just that with the LG G3 as well.
Unfortunately LG offered no additional details about the devices at the event, so there’s no information as yet about their specifications or features.

Microsoft showed off two titles when it unveiled the Xbox One late last year. The first was Forza Motorsport 5 which didn’t surprise anyone since its from the company’s in-house developer Turn 10. Quantum Break was the other titled, developed by Remedy, the folks behind Max Payne and Alan Wake series. The company finally confirmed today when Quantum Break release for Xbox One is going to take place. Its sometime next year.
It also revealed that Remedy Entertainment is going to showcase gameplay for the very first time in August at gamescom, Europe’s largest gaming show. Fans were given a sneak peak today of what they can expect later this summer. Remedy’s Creative Director Sam Lake provided story details of Quantum Break.
Its going to be a narrative driven third-person title which includes live action element. The game was initially described as one that “blurs the line between television and gameplay.”
The game follows Jack Joyce, the hero, who struggles to prevent the end of time. Jack’s arch enemy is a villainous corporation called Monarch Solutions. This forms an intertwining narrative where actions the players take impacts how the story goes across both the game and the live-action show.
Quantum Break will be released exclusively for the Xbox One in 2015. Remedy promises that it will deliver an entertainment experience like no other. We’ll have to wait for quite a few months before passing judgement on that.
